The most dreadful thing that ever awaken me in the middle of the night - an ant in my ear! I panicked as I heard it walking inside, it wasn't painful but the thought that something was inside my ear made me just do everything to take it off. Water, oil, cotton swabs, etc. I truly had panicked and worst, I may have killed it inside because I can't get anything out - or think I haven't. I don't know. Anyhow, what was the worst thing that happened to you (apart from a phonecall that a relative has died or is in the hospital of course - let's not be that grim), that you could consider the worst thing that woke you up?

Back when I was a kid I stayed the night at a friends and woke up to roaches crawling on me...I'm still terrified of them. It is so gross and nasty. A cousin's child had a roach stuck in his ear and he was only like a year old. I'd freak out if an ant went in my ear. I hope you got him and he's not in there setting up a colony. Hi, laydee. I would have to say that a nose bleed has woken me up. My nose was dripping with blood and I had to rush so that I could use something to stop the blood from dripping onto my sheets and blankets. This was scary for me because I am wondering what has caused this nose bleed to happen.

Oh thanks for the thoughts, I'm okay now. Further, what was the cause of the nosebleed? I haven't heard of anything like that, it's usually when we're awake (when the nose bridge gets hit or when it's too hot). What happened?

That is the WORST thing I have heard this week. This month for that matter! I would've freaked! There's just no way to protect yourself comfortably. Its creepy, scary, and makes me itch just thinking about it. From a medical standpoint I would not recommend putting anything in yoiur ear. Whatever is in there will only be pushed in further if you persist. I would call your primary doctor or E.N.T. specialist if its bothering you. Ears are delicate and can be harmed very easily. Handle with Care!Nothing like that really happened to me. However, my mom told me a story about when she was in grade school this girl had a huge bump on her cheek. One day they were sitting there and it opened and spiders or some type of insect. YUK! Get your ear looked at! Happy Hearing! dl

Oh my gosh!!!! That girl if freaky! How could those spiders lay eggs on her cheek!??! Anyhow, my family is full of Doctors and medical practitioners so I was checked and I guess the cotton buds got it out. But yeah! That was really a panicky situation.

That is bad, laydee. So have you gone to see a doctor to see if the ant is still in your ear? I would be terrified if the ant is in my ear.

Its very terrible to have the ant in the ear . I too fast this kind of sutuation in my childhood days and felt very bad for that. My parents were trying to take away the ant from my ear. But alas!!! Anyways the ant came out after fashing a light into the ear. So the ant find its way to come back out of my ear. I felt very happy after that. so try out this if any one suffers like me.
