It sounds as if you are in a Starvation Mode. Here is some information - How to Prevent Starvation Mode When Losing Weight When trying to lose weight, your goal is to eat less and create a calorie deficit. If you cut calories too drastically, you'll never what's known as a starvation mode causing your metabolism to slow and weight loss to stop. When you're trying to lose weight, your main goal is to create a calorie deficit (burn more calories than you take in). If you burn 500 calories more than you eat everyday, your body will be forced to make up that 500 calorie shortfall from sources other than food - mainly body fat with the result being weight loss. The bigger your calorie deficit, the faster you'll lose weight. Some may ask, "Why not try to eat as little as possible?" Your metabolism is like your body's power plant. The food you eat is fuel and your metabolism converts the food to energy (a very simplistic explanation). What would happen if you stopped delivering coal to a local power plant? The plant would have to scale back energy production unless it started getting more fuel. Just like the power plant, when you drastically cut your calorie intake (fuel supply), your metabolism will slow down and burn less food to convert into energy. So what does this have to do with weight loss? When your calories are severely restricted, the body thinks it's entering a prolonged period of time without any food. Just like engineers at a power plant will shutdown energy production, your body will will work to conserve energy if you don't eat - mainly by slowing down your metabolism. This is when you enter starvation mode. Long ago when our ancestors were hunters, food wasn't as readily available as it is today. Our body developed this starvation mechanism as a way to conserve body fat for the long periods of time humans went without food. The trigger to enter starvation mode back then was the same as it is today: an intake of very few calories. This trigger fluctuates from person to person, but generally, starvation mode kicks in below 1,200 calories. When you go below 1,200 calories per day, your body will start hoarding energy. The effect will be a slowdown in the total amount of calories your body burns each day. Your weight loss will stop and even reverse. http://www.buzzle.com/articles/how-to-prevent-starvation-mode-when-losing-weight.html

Everyone is telling you basically the same thing. I will too. I will also say that my perfect skinny size would be 12-14. Skipping meals shuts down your metabolism. Eat a bit of something every two or two and one half hours. Make it quality food, fruits and vegetables are great. I think, now that I have given you this pep talk, I must go find something healthy to eat before bed.

doormouse if we all ate like you did we would end up in the hospital, where are fruits and veggies, whole grains, milk for calcuim, protein to repair your body, you are just asking to g et sick eating nothing that will keep you healthy get yourself to a dietitician and learn how to eat healthy foods and still stay at a healthy weight, I really think you could gain a little and still not be too heavy.do you have the strenght to e xercise given you eat not real food,we all need our veggies and fruits for maximum health. your diet is just plain unhealthy. I think you should both eat more a nd eat healthier and exercise more and you will be slim but a healthy slim.

That's good enough for you. I know you know very well what is best for you when it comes to the kind and volume of food that you eat everyday. In my case, I ate 3 meals everyday with snacks in between. This is the reason why I really gain weight this past weeks, too bad i don't even indulge myself to any kind of exercise which I know very beneficial to our health.

Different people have different bodies and therefore will react differently to the same foods. If you really want to lose weight, then replacing the meat pie, Weetabix, cheese, toast and chocolate bar with fruits and vegetables and replacing the coke and and milk with water will really help you the most. When I stopped eating all of those things that you eat, I lost lots of weight and now feel better than ever before in my life!

it's not so much about losing weight,it was more about the way my body is compared to the lady on the telly, even though we eat roughly the same,,losing weight would be good though as i've got some lovely pairs of jeans in my wardrobe that are too small for me

We are all different shapes and sizes so it is really not healthy mentally to compare your body with that of others. If you feel you can improve your body, then there are ways to do this, but you will probably never look the same bodywise as someone you admire on TV. Have a look through some of the sites on my profile and you may find something of use to you. Most of all be happy with who you are and eat as good as you can. I hope this helps.

as strange as this sounds, you aren't enough, at least not often enough because your body thinks it is starving, its hoarding calories, you need to spread your food intake out across the day and exercise to kick start your body to start losing again.

Ugh, that is a terrible diet. And I mean diet in the eating way, not in the losing weight meaning. No fruits and vegetables, and skipping meals. You could get sick from eating (or not eating) this way.
