Yes, I also like that 10 lbs but I'm a tall girl right now about 5'7". It's good memories when you are a child.

I never find that out from mom but I was told I am the only one born 'big' among all my siblings. I was the darling of the maternity ward when I was born as I was chubby and rounded. My chubbiness followed me throughout my childhood until now.

I was a 4 pound baby, at 6 weeks premature. I'm only 5ft 2 now, I don't think I've grown since I was 14 years old! Both my children were a little over 6lb, I'll be interested to see if they end up taller than me. They are both still small for their ages but my 5 year old has grown very quickly in the past 6 months, I think she may catch up to her friends soon!

I'd have to look at my birth certificate to be sure, but I think I weighed in at around 9 lbs. at birth. I was pretty tall/long too, by what I was told. I don't care to share my weight on here, but then again I don't know my weight as I don't bother to weigh myself anyway. LOL However, I am about 5'8" tall and am taller than most of my family, at least on my mom's side anyway. LOL Happy mylotting!

Thanks for your response. Your mom must not have been like mine, lol, she was still fussing about my birth weight when i was 50 years old. i think it would be great to be that tall. wouldn't think u needed to worry about your weight being that tall. Thanks for responding.

Ha! Goes to show what you know! LOL My mom actually brought it up a few months ago. She's the one that reminded me that I was a big baby! LOL I do feel for her though. She had a natural birth with me and here she's just a little woman, not even 5 feet tall...

Wow 10lbs at birth? I didn't know it is possible to stunt growth. Here in these parts of the world we are shorter than caucasians and we are more concerned on how to get taller. hehe. I must've been about 6lbs at birth and I could fit nicely on anything and now like you I'm just 5 feet and look like humpty dumpty too myself after I've stalled so much on my workout. The average height for my race is about 5'6" and I'm considered short to our standards. Lol. Well at my age I've dumped the aspiration to play in the NBA so forget that. .

Thanks for your cute response. U put my first smile on my face this morning w/it. Thanks i need to smile more. They didn't stunt my growth [i don't think, lol] but i always thought it was odd to be too tall at birth to fit in the bassinet to turn out to be short , fat fannie like i did, lol. hope u have a great day.

I weighed 8lbs. and 10oz. when I was born. I don't remember how tall I was but I think I was about 21 or 22 inches in length. I was the largest one of any of my siblings and I remember how my parents went on about what a big baby I was for the longest, LOL! I take after daddy's side of the family because he was a big man. He was 6 ft. tall and weighed over 200 lbs! I was 5'8" for the longest but I've lost about 2 or 3 inches since I've gotten past menopause. This really depressed me for the longest because I was always so proud of being tall. I'm now about 5'6" and I'm glad I'm on the tall side at least. Kathy.

Yes, it is strange. I wonder why this happens? I asked the girl who did my bone density test one time but I don't remember what she said. I have a hard time remembering what these doctors and other medical people tell me, anyway, lol! They always tell you so much! Kathy.

I was weighed 9 pounds, 2 ounces when I was born. However, I was 24 inches long. I was a tall and thin baby. I was also born with a black eye thanks to a forceps happy doctor. Which actually did cause me problems later in life. Weird how a thing like using forceps can make such an impact later on.

U were lucky u didn't lose your eye. I hate those forcep guys. There is a young man here in town that i cut his hair for years. He is mentally challenged because a dr. used forceps. That's a crying shame they are allowed to do that. Hope your eye is o.k. now. Thanks for responding.

I think that I was 6 pounds something. But my mother never knew how tall I was. I have grown to be five feet and five inches. The tallest in my family, as my sisters are 5' 3" and my mother five foot flat. My father was about 5' 10". I don't know what they did to stunt your growth!
