i think when there is an exam for clerk and even for a peon. why the law makers are exempted when they are going to rule the country. i think there must be an entrance exam at each level. which could include the thoughts and knowledge both. what are your views.

That is interesting for there being an entrance exam for politicians. I just wonder, exactly how many would qualify if they would take one? I'm talking about from the most powerful world leader all the way down the mayor of the town with twelve people that no one has ever heard of. Ten percent of the people perhaps. Maybe less. Perhaps much less, who knows. Plus, this is one of those things that it would be hard to establish a criteria for exactly how much the person needs to know. I am sure if you ask different people, there would be different opinions. Then again, I am also under the school of thought that you should be required to get a license to be a parent and that is another thing that would be difficult to nail down for criteria. So it might seem like a good idea in theory having an entrance exam for politicians, but in actual practice, I'm not so sure.

i think that exam could check even the knowledge they have for their country and state. and also some kind of psychological test so that their dedication could be check and the honesty. i think that could really work and not only the mafia will try to occupy the system.

Well, it isn't an entrance exam in the traditional sense of the term, but the entire election procedure is an entrance exam in a certain sense. The politicians have the opportunity to share with the public their views on issues that are current. Then, when it comes to election day, the general public has the opportunity to grade the politician by either opting to vote for them or to not vote for them.

I think it should not be sufficient.. because in our country all of us know well that there is no any education limit for politician.. because mostly of our politicians are not well educated.. and don't know how to behave with other persons.. so i think.. firstly we should made a rule for politician. If any person who wants to join politic.. atleast he/she must be graduate degree holder.. and also his/her educational background should be good.. and he/she never involved in illegal activity like murder, or any illegal activity.. have a nice day and keep mylotting always..

...Hi 1anurag1, Great idea, but who would implement it? One person who was running for vice-president and had been a governor, did not even know what the vice-president did, they answered a young boy's question on the radio, during an interview totally wrong and did not correct it. It will be a long time before they set up something like that, if ever. The Congress does not even want to have term limits, so that the lawmakers won't have dementia by the time they leave their jobs in Washingtpon, D.C., like I believe some of them already have. Take care.
