I have always wanted to go to Dumaguete City. I wanted to dive at the nearby Apo Reef which is being taken cared of by Silliman University. I hear the biodiversity there is awesome. My friends from there say that this is a good city if you want a slower pace of life with a really great view. I live in Marikina City which was one of the few places that our forefathers settled in. We have a lot of old churches and houses and we right in the heart of the capital of the Philippines.

We do have the same desire to visit the place. When I came home last November, we did planned to make a one day visit. Unfortunately I didn't make it due to my tight schedule. However, my husband showed me some photos of the place and yes, it is awesome. The city has a well preserved richness of the memories of the bygone era.

I looked at your profile and you are from UAE, or are you originally from Dumaguete City? I believe Filipinos are ranked as the most hospitable, kind and gentle people, aside from our vast natural beauty and untouched paradise we are home to historical sites that have been preserved by our ancestors through the years, And yes you are right Dumaguete City is one of those places.

Hey there! Yes, I am in the UAE but I am from Cebu. I haven't got a chance to visit Dumaguete but it was my husband who told me how beautiful and peaceful the place is. He brought loads of photos of the place and it's honestly charming. I tried to attached one image here of the famous Siliman Museum but unfortunately I couldn't attached the picture. Indeed, the place is so beautiful and I'm looking forward to see its scenic nature when I come home.
