I can't keep my garage door open all the time

Even at the rush hour, when I have to get out of the door fast, I still have to close my garage door, instead of let it open for the whole day. Quite in the opposite, my next door neighbor keep his garage door open all the time. Because we were friends and neighbor, I just warn him about how dangerous it was to keep his garage door open. He seems not taking this advise, and tell me not to worry. Anyway, I just try to be friendly. I mean, it is convenient indeed, but sometimes, you have to watch out for crime these days.

Well, even our windows are closed. I'll never know who could sneak in there when when i'm gone right? I always make it point to close everything shut.

Safely is the most important. If you keep your door or whatever accessible point open, it is not safe. I just hate to put everything in danger. I don't care whether it is convenient or not.

We keep it open when we are there but not when we are not her. That is insane. I mean do they believe that everyone is good out there? Trustworthy people. Hopefully they do not get themselves in a situation that could have been avoided for the most part. People will do as they please until something causes them to change.

We always leave our garage door closed, not so much cause anything inside might be stolen but because the door in our garage is absurdly easy to break into. It doesn't have a very strong lock, you can open it by sticking a sheet of cardboard in the gap (And I have before. lol). We live in a pretty safe neighborhood but bad things do happen. It's better to be safe than sorry. I'd just let your neighbors worry about themselves. If you've already warned them and they haven't changed their habits it's likely they're not going to. Keep being friendly, if they have to learn things the hard way then let them learn it the hard way.
