Who's read these books? Who loves them? I do! I just finished the last one a couple days ago. I'm a big fan of greek mythology and I really like recognizing all the familiar elements, plus the elements that Riordan puts a unique twist on. My favorite book was the last one, "The Last Olympian". It was just the kind of happy ending that I wanted. I like greek mythology, but I'm not a big fan of tragic endings. lol Who else here has read them?

i have! the book is good, just like the harry potter series but with a more realistic setting. the good thing i like about the series is that i was able to review mythology all over again. the book was kind of different from the movie, but i think that was kind of expected.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I've already heard some things about it. I think I'll wait until it reaches the 2nd run theaters before I go to see it. I do want to see it but I don't want to spend $10 on it if there's a chance I won't like it very much. I'll just wait until it goes 2nd run and see it for $1. I really enjoyed Percy Jackson more than Harry Potter. With Harry Potter it felt like every book had basically the same story with the exact same cast. Percy Jackson really shuffled the cast around and introduced lots of great new characters.
