Who are better at cooking. Most women cook at home. Most women cook outside in restraunts and for weddings. Do women have the natural flair to cook?

There is not really a better cook between men and wmen. Each has their own unique and lovely dishes. I know of men who taught me a thing or two about cooking. There is no real comparrison between the two. TATA.

Still nature i think has made women a better cook than me... women are more creative when it comes to cooking... there is nothing more tastier than a dish prepared by mothers... right Saphrina? TATA

I dont think theres such a thing as men are better or women are better in cooking. Its a matter of desire for me. Someone who really likes cooking may it be a guy or a girl can be a really good cook.Cooking is even more interesting if you put your heart into it.Yes its true most girls do the cooking and they are good at it, it is true as well that alot of guys cook really good.Personal choice and dedication is also considered in cooking, if you really like cooking you will be good at it, may you be a boy or a girl ,if you ask me both are good cooks, and besides most people have different tastes what is good to me might not be good for you. I hope this comment of mine will help you understand somehow. Thanks for asking and good day ;)

I seriously feel men are better cooks compared to women. You can see men cooking when cooking food is a business. I mean men cook in resturants and hotels. My father-in-law cooks better than my mother-in-law and he cooks more daily compared to my mother-in-law. My husbasnd is also a good cook and I think he cooks better than me. I don't think my father cooks better than my mother becuase he has never tried cooking.

i think there is a hidden agenda behind ur too much appreciating men for cooking. May be ur trying to impress men so much so that ur saved from the burden of cooking... anyway i have a different opinion. My mother has the knack of preparing dishes merely my smelling the dishes prepared in our neighbourhood. She can say with almost near perfection what ingredients have gone into making tht dish merely by smell

Hi, preethaanju. I think there is no certain answer that whether man is better than woman or woman is better than man at cooking. I believe both are good at cooking. For me, women seems to cook at home as they are more attached to the family, whereas most men who are a good cook are working in the restaurant. They make this as their job. I believe when a person who is interested in cooking, then he/she will be a good cook as they cook by their heart. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

I am not so sure. Even if it seems more women cook at home. But it doesn't mean that women cook better. On the contrary, I think men cook better. As sometimes cooking is a heavy work. You need to carry the heavy pot, stir a lot of eggs etc. It all needs the strength. In this aspect, men does better than women. And it seems more chefs are men. This is why I think probably men cook better than women. I love China

hi I really think that men are actually a bit better than women as most famous chefs are indeed men and no women do not have a natural flair for cooking, at least not all women. some women are lousy cooks and some men are really great cooks ,its not a gender thing at all. women may be trapped into having to cook because they are married but some are not good at it and others are really excellent cooks.

Yes definitely women cook well but no doubt, men are also a great cook. I think a lot of has to do with the type of cooking. Women are by far better home cooks and home economists than men are. My Mom and I am also a great cook in the world... at home... Men have traditionally made the best chefs because it was the only venue that a man had for cooking talent. There is definitely a gender role issue here. Aside from all that I believe the reason women are better over all than men, they are more caring and loving than men as any grandmother what her secret ingredient to make her food taste. I think the reason that in the past more professional chefs were men were because women didn't work outside of the home. Nowadays there are just as many women chef's as men I think. I think the best cooks are the ones who love food, and are unafraid to try new ways to prepare them.

I think in general, women might be a bit better at cooking. Then again, that is not always the case. There are exceptions to many things in life and I think you will find that there are some women who could burn down the kitchen preparing cold cereal. Granted, that example might be a little extreme, but it is true. There are just some people who do not have the talent. Men, yeah for the most part, we are not able to cook. As a guy, I feel like I can admit this without shame. Our idea is cooking is often putting something in the microwave and zapping it. That is pretty much the extent of what we do and if we complete it without messing up, it is a glorious achievement. Some men can cook, just like some women cannot. However, stereotypes do always have a certain bit of truth to it, as much as we do not admit it and therefore in general, women are better, even if we have members that slide into the "some women can't cook" and "some men can cook" categories.

Well, for starters, I think women are seen as the best cook. Let's face it. Learning to cook starts at home. Your mom starts with teaching you how to cook and you just follow your interest by enrolling in a culinary school where you explore the world of cooking. I might say, most culinary teachers are males (I think) because they have the opportunity and experience to back them up like getting employed in a pleasure ship as a cook or something like that. Women rarely do have that opportunity because of their gender and being away from the family overseas is bit constricting for them. On the other hand, it's true that most of the famous chefs are men. The reason? I really don't know. It's just they were and they really cooked some of the best cuisines the world has ever tasted...:)
