Simple But Meaningful Magiting Day

Simple but meaningful is what I wish to call this day. It's holiday (Araw ng Kagitingan) here and he turned three now. We are going to go to church later today to give thanks for everything we have been receiving from the Almighty. How nice to remember that He is not forgetting us to be blessed with all good things, through a regular job, a nice family and better health. And Zayzay, being three today, we hope He will continue to treat his problem, and we continue to receive good earnings for his medication. So, after the church, the three of us will just take our meal somewhere, maybe in a restaurant or at a popular fastfood here. The other kids are now in the province spending their summer vacation, so me and wife and Zayzay are left here in the city. So, no extravagant celebration for him this year. What a great savingS?!

thanks a lot tamara. well, it's not that small time fastfood that we are going to or planned to eat, it's the most popular fastfood chain in the philippines which is very much liked by filipinos especially the kids.

who is Zayzay? I just saved a day at home sleeping yesterday. I know it is a holiday but I don't remember why it is a Holiday. Yes I know it is Araw ng Kagitingan, but the story I don't remember anymore why does it have to be a magiting day. I was very lazy yesterday. My plan is to do my writings but what I did was to sleep all day long.

zayzay is the youngest son and who is the one in the video in youtube that is featured in my profile page. araw ng kagitingan is the one that was previously celebrated as bataan day, if you could remember. it so happen that his birthday falls at this holiday, so we fondly calls him Ting-Ting as in Magiting.

i don't think it is too late ckyera and thanks for the greetings. actually, that was really so simple as we went to sto. niño and ate at jollibee. and with less expenses, we were able to buy him some new toys. and that made him the day complete.

as i have told earlier, we had just been to the church, and took our lunch actually at Jollibee. then we bought him some toys. at least with simple lunch at his favorite place to dine, with just the 3 of us, we were able to buy some new toys for him. i guess he was so happy with his birthday, he just can't say the words but we can see on his smiles, big smiles.

What a great family you have I've been dreaming of having a family of my own that love is the foundation and not money. Living simple and true. It's nice to see that there is actually people/family living the same dream that I have and have yet to accomplish

Neil, I would say, Happy Birthday to ZayZay as he turned three. I read in your blog about his breathing problems. I understand that you get afraid when they speak of removing the tonsils, but for some people this can be a good thing, because they get lots of infections all the time and are sick a lot. Trust your doctor, it sounds as if she is prescribing a successful course of treatment, and continue to trust God as well.

thanks for the greetings and also for visiting my blog, gerty. yes, a lot of people are telling me that we should not be afraid of the operation to remove his tonsils. it's just that i see him to young for it. and besides, what i most afraid of is the money to spend for the operation and the hospitalization, the bills, in short. it will give me a hard time to look for enough money when it comes.

It sounds like a lovely day and I am glad your little one is doing well. During these times it is tough to spend a lot, I find. I’ve never heard of Araw ng Kagitingan because we are from a different part of the world. I hope you enjoyed your holiday!
