Most favorite athletes of people are usually one of the top competitors at their respective sports.
Basketball: Lebron vs. Kobe
Golf: Mickelson vs. Woods
Baseball: Lincecum(Giants Pitcher)
Boxing: Pacquiao vs. Mayweather
Football: Farve vs. Manning vs. Brees
Etc.
Do you have a favorite athlete? Why is that your favorite athlete?

I think the BEST athlete in the world is Pacquiao. Boxing: Pacquiao vs. Mayweather is great match because we can know who is the real champion of the world. Also there is no one in Asian Boxer who can break 7 title of Manny Pacman Pacquiao.It's a great modern Filipino hero of being known over the world.Happy Mylotting!!! Keep on posting!!!

I hope that Pacquiao continues to shine and does not retire. He brings hope to Filipinos around the globe. He should stick to his real talent, which is boxing, instead of going into something that could destroy him; politics. I do not think there is a boxer out there in the world who will be able to break seven titles in a long time. Happy Mylotting to you as well. =)

Well in response to your question BEST athlete in the world, I think there are still on going debates for that. And of course the best athlete in the world of (name of sport) because we can not say choose who is the best between Pacquiao or Kobe right since they are from different sports. Even in basketball We can say Kobe is the best player in his generation and also the same for Lebron but if you base it on awards, scoring titles, all-star membership etc. you can not discount Michael Jordan and other legends.
About my favorite athlete, in tennis that would be Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova, in Boxing Manny Pacquiao, in basketball Kobe Bryant. I like them because they bring the sport they are into a new level. In a way instead of them being popular because of the sport, the sport became popular because of them just like what Tiger Woods brought into golf.

I actually forgot to write down tennis in my description post. Federer has been on top of the tennis world for some time now but Sharapova is not constant and is not number one in the woman's tennis. People like Federer, Pacquiao, and all the other top people of the sport do indeed bring a new level to that sport. Happy Mylotting. =)

Yes, i do. I think there will never be a basketball player like michael jordon. I loved to watch him play ball & hate that he quit. As for football my fave is peyton manning. I don't watch any pother sports but football & basketball. Anytime TENNESSEE is playing i'm watching.

I was mad & very disappointes that the colts lost. I am from tennessee & u probably know that peyton played college ball at tennessee knoxville. That's who i root for in football & basketball. the basketball boys team just had a hearbreaking lost to in the plsyoffs. I had about had a breakdown over that one, lol.
i really wish u had seen jordon in his heyday. He was great!!! After tne bulls all went their separate ways i have not gotten interested in another professional team. I never missed a bull's game on tv.Have a good one.

I have seen some of Jordan, like in his later years, like when he went toe-to-toe with Malone in the playoffs but that was what '98? That was over ten years ago and my memory is waning. I did not know that Manning played for Tennessee but that is a fun fact. You have a good one as well.

Were you mad when Peyton Manning lost the recent championship? Which Tennessee team are you referring to? Are you from Tennessee? Alas, I was too young to have a full appreciation of Jordan's greatness. It was sad that when he tried to come back in the Wizards he did not came back the same person. He was a great player however who lead his team to multiple titles. Happy Mylotting. =)
