Great Modern India - From a lay man view...
Rules are made for the rulers to rule,
Laws are made for lawyers to earn and grow,
Laymen are still slaves and beggars
Those were the days when British rules exploited the Indians,
But now Indians are exploiting Indians
Making laymen like slaves and beggars,
criminals are nourished
innocents are punished
Money can buy these laws,
influence can change these laws
Others can bear these laws
this is law the trustworthy law,
Courts are like MNCs (Multi National Companies)
One who invests more is free as emperor,
Those who react to all these odds,
their mouths are shut up, prisons are for them
may be executed forever,
Oh God, only you can save my country and my people
Moreover the basic rights of fathers are taken away if they get into any domestic violence. DV act and 498 A are most cruelty law where fathers do not any freedom to see their children in family case. Even more to show this is just a brief.

"Country of all religions"
Yes our India is a country of all religions.. because here you find persons of every religions.. and also it is interesting the many languages are spoken by Indians.. because here are many states.. and mostly states has different-2 languages.. so it is very amazing things...

Only one word is not enough to be taken as correct my answer, as a normal post, but I will try to explain why "History" is the word that in my opinion, best defines my country, we are an ancient people who had an interesting history, almost everything I see around me breathes history, and I think is the best word to define my country, so-history.

In one word "green land". Because it has many green village which is too beautiful.
I respect my "Bangladesh". And feel proud to be Bangladeshi.
