There will be a full nights viewing on BBC1 on Friday to support various charities, do you think this is a good idea?

Well in a way it is, because some people would give to charity just when they're asked by people on telly and they get donations from the audience, but they could just show the usual programmes with a number at the bottom for donations, or if the usual programmes have themes, they could have a children in need theme and just give an hour or so to children in need.

That sounds like a good idea. To be quite honest I'm fed up of people with loads of money asking me to donate to charities. Especially when a lot of the stuff is caused by governments making a mess of things in the first place.

I like Children in Need night, it's good because the boring bits are on when there's something decent on the other side. I do agree with you though, it does annoy me that overpaid actors, presenters and suchlike are telling the general public, who usually don't have much money, to give to charity. I also agree that it should be the governments job to help children in need and all other people in need too!

You're answer shows that it's not really worth watching for the whole night.
