Today I had a clutter consultant out to work with me to give my living room a makeover. Next week she will be coming back to help me get rid of some clutter. She gave me some new ideas and helped me move my furniture into different positions. I have my book cases on each side of my coffee table. My sofa is opposite the book cases. My table and chairs are next to my kitchen. I hope to be able to sell my house and buy a one story home. In my home country we call that a bungalow. I have a disabled toddler son and he needs a downstairs bedroom plus bathroom. Now I have been given lots of ideas to get my house ready to sell. I feel very happy about all happened today. Would you like to get a makeover for any room in your home? Have you got lots of clutter?

So strange really that even I am into getting rid of the clutter in my house. I used to have countless brass figurines and stuff which took eons to polish. I sold them all. I gave away more than 1000 books to a school library. I am now going to attack my crockery cupboard which is filled to the brim. I will even get rid of furniture which I have no need for. The more clutter is discard the clearer our mind becomes.

Wow, I really envy you. I wish I can do that. I have a lot of clutter in the house and how I wish I could just wave a magic-wand and change the state of things.

I see, your redecorating your living room to give it appeal to any potential buyers? To be honest I believe that it shouldn't be the position of the furniture that sells it as you will be taking the furniture with you will you not? I think it should be the condition of the house that matters, but I can believe that the appeal of the house is often in the decor, even if it's not being sold with the house. I hope you can find that one story home.

Yes, I wanted a makeover of my bedroom. I always wish to have an under the sea theme of my bedroom specifically like Bikini Bottom in Spongebob Squarepants. Sounds childish? But that's what I really want. :)

You dont need any consultant to do that. There's always an artistic side in each of us. I mean, decluttering is just a matter of decision. Once you have decided to do that, everything follows. But that should be the first to happen for you to take a better grasp on the new arrangement you would make. I laways do my own makeove all the time... and it feels really good.

What a refreshing thing to do. I bet you felt awesome when you woke the next day! Oh yes, I have rooms with clutter, that of which I have been meaning to get to and will! Mark my words. The living room needs a once over too and am wanting to change the area rug and wash the front windows. Maybe windows today. I have never had anyone professional to consult for a home makeover but it sure sounds like fun! If i were in the market to sell then that could be a worthwhile option. Sure makes a difference. Clutter not good in the case of having your house shown. We have a three story house and the basement is full of clutter. A must do before summertime, that's for sure. I can understand your wanting a one story home. Sounds cozy too. Have you had many people looking? Any offers yet? I hope for you that your house moves fast so that you can get settled in to your new home, at least before next winter. Have fun and enjoy the new look while you still can. No doubt the clutter consultant gave you some valuable ideas that you can take with you when moving into your new home as well. I find less clutter makes for a clearer mind. Cheers.

That makeover sounds great! Too bad you don't have before and after pictures. I've watched shows on tv and it's a lot of hard work to get a home ready for sale. Good for you! I hope your home goes at a really good price so you can afford a really nice one like you would like.

I really am longing to have one. If I am living in the states right now I could have send an email to clean house, hahaha. Seriously i long to have one to help me with this clutter and to have a makeover, if possible extreme makeover. I want to be surprised how my home could be totally transformed and to be owed by people (in a positive sense).

I'm doing the makeover in my house because I too am selling my home. I have gotten rid of clutter which I don't usually have to much of. My son-in-law has been painting and putting down new rugs. To bad you didn't live in the state I could sell you my home it a one story ranch with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It would have be ideal for your disabled son. Good luck in getting your house in order and selling it. God Bless.

That sounds so exciting! Your living room must look amazing after the make over and I'm sure that you've found more space in that room that you never knew you had. I have never had a clutter consultant before but I definitely think that I could use one. I have a habit of being pretty cluttered and throwing things where ever I feel. I take time a couple times a year to try to organize everything but it's pretty messy for the rest of the year.
