I do have trouble falling alseep at night as well. I have heard people trying to do exercises at night to get them tired and then they fall asleep. I have not yet tried this as i would think it would work because your getting tired and then sometimes i hear when you exercise you get more energy so not sure on this one. I take 4 tablespoons a night of benedryl to fall alseep. This happens to be a safe way of falling alseep rather than getting addicted to some medicine that is hard to get off of.

I have problems sleeping a lot, and I do several things...sometimes I listen to music, or comedy shows on radio, sometimes I grab a drink, sometimes I chuck on my dressing gown and use the PC until I feel tired.

Try going out and having a short walk before retiring to bed. A bit of fresh air always helps.

I have been having sleep problems the past month, normally I just read books or magazines or I just watch television or movies. or if I really can't go to sleep, I drink warm milk or hot tea, it works.

THIS --- I mean doing mylot, really helps me to fall asleep. It takes a little bit long though before I finally yawn and get that feeling of sleepiness. But it works for me. Try reading a book before you sleep, a boring book to make falling asleep even faster. hehehe. Some of my friends drink milk, they claim that drinking milk helps them to relax better and induces sleepiness. Also make sure you do not consume too much caffeine within the day since it might be the cause of your insomnia.

Most of the times i just listen to some music or just read something to fall asleep, im also trying something like drinking a glass of water just for me to fall asleep , but there are certain times that i feel anxious about alot of stuff that makes me think and stay up all night long just like now. When your thinking bout a problem or something is bothering you, chances are you wont be able to sleep at all no matter how much you want to , that what im happening to me right now, but in normal situations reading something or listening to music will do the trick for almost everbody

Well you can come to mylot.com. Otherwise reading is a good idea. Read the newspaper or do anything important. Dont hink that you want to sleep. Just do anything that is important. Start studying or working.

At times when I have a hard time falling asleep, i'd try first to listen to music. If it doesn't work i'll then read a book. I don't turn on the computer because most of the time the more that I can't sleep especially when i log in to mylot or to my facebook account=). If reading still doesn't work my last remedy is eat a snack, and i mean a heavy snack, and right after that I'll watch TV lying down. Watching Tv while I lie down on a full stomach is always a sure ball for me to fall asleep.

When I'm having trouble falling asleep I get up and have a cup of tea. The warmth of it really calms me down and gets me feeling sleepy again. I usually am able to fall asleep after that. I've also tried warm milk, but I think it has basically the same effect as the tea. Reading is also a good idea. There are also some things you can do during the day before you go to sleep that will help you sleep at night like going out for exercise, eating healthy, and having a good dinner.

Well... depends on the reason. Is it a physical problem, or a mental problem? Mentally, some people have problems and stress, and things going on in their lives. I have an odd suggestion in that case. Pray. Pray to God. Pray that you need help. Pray that you need him. Pray about those things that bother you. If you do not know God, then seek him. Pray that He will show himself to you. I've seen this work. Alternatively, if you have a physical problem, like me, I typically drink some cold water, and take one Benadryl. Yup, I have to pop a pill. Typically 1 pill is all I need. Wait 30 minutes, and go to bed, which is what I'm about to do, right... now... Night!
