I have a boy. He is 4 years old now. He looks healthy but he is actually very weak. He is very susceptible to disease, especially coughs and colds. Almost every month he was exposed to coughs and colds. I do not know what to do. I already gave him vitamins to maintain health and enhance his immune but it useless. He remained just a cough and runny nose. Does this always happen to any child in this age? If no, what should be done to keep his health? Please share here to me.

Well you should make him run, jog , walk because it works for not have many toxins in your body and make your lungs more stronger , so that is really good for me , i was a little weak girl even i had an surgery for sinusitis , and now i work out all days in gym , and jog in the mornings and i never get cold , after all . Never means one cold every 2 years ... it keeps my lungs very strongers and 0 % of toxins.

a doctor is the best thing. If it gets bad to where it is hard to breath steam seems to help too.

I see. I think he got sport enough. He likes playing in the yard. Playing foot ball or just running in the yard. I think he got allergies. I have to know how to avoid him from allergen and make him stronger against the allergen. Thank you for the advice.

hi de toya! i used to have them always when i was still studying especially during college. i wondered then but i discovered, only about ten years ago, the reason for my constant cough and colds. it's allergy that i have been suffering from. so every time i'm exposed to my allergens i expect myself to have cough and colds afterward. i'm more cautious now especially when traveling using public transport. cause allergies can't be treated but they can be managed. it's best to consult a doctor on such matters. there are plenty of reasons why people cough or have colds. have your child checked by a doctor. if it's allergy that's triggering his respiratory system, then you have to know from where are they coming from...i mean where he is allergic from. there's also a laboratory test that determines allergens but it's quite expensive here. it's being offered in one of the prestigious hospitals here. the laboratory test during that time, almost 10 years ago, costs about 2,000,000 rupiah (P10,000.00 here) per possible allergen. so if it's really allergy, it's best to observe from which is he allergic to.

It's possible allergies. I always take him to a doctor everytime he got cough and colds. He has been intensive care in hospital twice. The doctor didn't say thet he suffered allergies. I will consider your advice. Thank you very much.

It's possible he has allergies. That sounds like what you are dealing with. You might have a doctor check him out to rule out luekemia or things like that. He may just need allergy medicines. Maybe if you find out what he is allergic to them it can be removed and he'll be fine.

Allergy is related to two things, antigen and antibody. At first any sort of antigen invades patient's immune system. If patient's body is already immune to that then his defense mechanism sends antibody to fight it out. If it is not then body suffers. Sometimes body creates antibody after the first attack of a new antigen. Second time if body is attacked by same antigen, it can fight back. This is why allergy test is very much required to know the type of antigen, and then equip patient's defense mechanism accordingly. Though the whole process is not so simple as it sounds, but this understanding may help you a little more. Good luck.

Hello, my daughter is only 1 and half and when she suffers from coughing its a very bad cough and also stays for weeks. She also suffers from eczema quite badly and has severe allergies. Now I worry that she could develop asthma. I try to use household remedies like for a runny nose I put some chopped up garlic and onion into our bedroom and it really helps. The sea side and mountains are supposed to be really good for the lungs, so whenever I have the oppurtunity I will take her there. Hope everything goes well. Good luck
