It's one sure fire event that is going to happen at the same time every year, but do we really look forward to birthdays. Me personnally hate birthdays, it's just another reminder that I am getting old. When I was young I enjoyed them as growing old never really entered my mind. It's just another day of the year now. How or even do other myLotters celebrate BIRTHDAYS. ?

I like birthdays, but sometimes it's the same thing every year if I do not have anything planned. If I were to plan out my 21st birthday 2 years from now, I would probably have a huge masquerade ball and everyone that I know would be invited. Since I will only turn 21 once... Unless I can have that masquerade ball for some other purpose where I can blow tonnes of money on it like perhaps a reception or something. XD I sort of hate birthdays coz a celebration is meant to be celebrated with people, if you do not have a lot.. Then why celebrate? I know the agony of gettinng old... Been there, errgh... Done that. My 18th didn't go so well since I had to sort some things out with myself to get my life back together. People should just try to appreciate the little things in life yunno? I hope on your next birthday, some good memories will always be remembered for years to come with the people you love that you spend it with. Old age is inevitable... I kind of had to grow out of that fear knowing that I'm developing in maturity, I'm not a kid anymore, and everybody has to go one day... Life's short, just try to enjoy it right? Try to take thing slow, but live each day like your last. =D Each year, people will learn a thing or two that is new to them... Which makes them wiser. ^^ Applying your experiences and what you learned over the years to help enlighten the people younger than you makes a difference if they take it to heart.

LifeGuru certainly is a very well chosen name for you, considering your last few sentences in your response. "Life's short, just try to enjot it right? live each day like it was your last". Very deep and meaningfull. And yes old age is inevitable, but I dont need a birthday to remind me. I hope your next birthday goes just great and you have a memorable day. Thanks for your words of wisdom.

I like to do whatever is going on that day.Like last year the homeschool conference was going on nearby and I went to that. This year there is going to be an old highschool get together going on that I might go to. If I don't and if there is nothing going on I want to go out to dinner and go see a movie.

Arent these things you do just things you could do any day of the week. I'm not knocking it but you dont really need any special reason to enjoy yourself. I think this is part of the reason why I dont enjoy birthdays anymore. Or maybe I'm just an old hum-bug, lol, haha Have a special day..

I don't usually look forward to my birthdays either. Mine is on the 23rd of this month and my husband announced that he would be taking us to my favorite chinese resturant to celebrate. It's not a special birthday or anything this time around, but I am long over due being fussed over, even if it is only for a couple of hours!
