what is your favourite part of the beach? the sand? the surf? the sun? the cool shops that are usually found by a large beach? i love the shops (although they are often over priced!) and i love hunting in the sand for treasures (like beach glass). my kids still love to build sand castles. i also like walking on the beach after the sun goes down, very romantic! what about you?

I like the warm sand and that feeling of melting with the Earth that one has when the sun is shining and the only sound is the sound of the seagulls and the sea.

Sitting on the sand - White Sand
The beach has a lot to offer. No one can't enjoy the beach. The sea itself is a big, big happiness and how much more the sand. I love to sit on the sad, while I look at the sea. I want to be buried on the sand as well because it has such a very warm feeling inside the sand. I also love to play and build different images on the sand. The sand is one of the many plus factors of the beach. But I don't enjoy the sand if it is not white sand. So I always make sure we go to a white sand beach always.

By these images I see maybe the far away views are the best, the feeling when you're going to the beach, the minute you're stepping on the sand and placing your towel, the moment you enter the water, it's all great, but of all the far away view I like best because of the feeling they get me of expecting it and knowing it will happen in a minute.

The last time I was near an ocean was in 1979. I only recall the immensity of the ocean but I didn't have a camera so I didn't get any shots.

The best part is at the end of the day when it's much cooler and you watch the sun setting and it looks as though it's being swallowed up by the ocean, even better when you are walking hand in hand with a loved one and the beach is deserted. I love the water, that is the best part and even in the winter months I just can't resist going for a paddle and believe me I am brave in the English waters because they are freezing, and damn dirty too in places. Ah but the ocean, you cannot not love it.

In Carmel by the Sea I like the art galleries and restaurants, but at most beaches I prefer to go to a more isolated area and just enjoy the wind and the water and the feeling of being alone. Mostly I walk in the early morning or late afternoon if alone, but with a friend, yes, it is beautiful to watch the sun go down. Later it does get a bit chilly, though!

My favorite would be under the shade, facing the beach. I would just love to spread out a blanket, or hang a hammock and get lazy under the shade with a cool breeze from the ocean. I wouldn't mind reading a book, with a cold drink on order, and just dozing off. Seeing a bunch of half-naked beautiful people walking about wouldn't hurt either.

When it's too hot, well, I like being under the shade most. When the clouds roll by or when it's a little later in the afternoon, I like being in the water and just checking out the fishes on the shallow depths.

I dont swim well, but what I love most in the beach, is the water. I stay there just feeling the waves and coldness of the water. And it feels so relaxing.I could stay there just feeling the waves

I love the FOOD! Oh it's really great to eat outdoors, and the beach is the best spot for me. Eating fresh seafood dishes on the beach gives more taste to the food and is very relaxing. I love to eat fresh seafood that is cooked by only using vinegar, we call it here in the Philippines as "KINILAW". It is composed of cuts of raw fish submerged in vinegar with different spices. Yummy. And eating on the beach makes it more tastier.

Hmmm...I'm not sure. I like looking out at the water far from shore. Seeing what looks like a never ending sky. It makes me think of how creative God was and still is. (I'm totally ready for a snide comment from someone who doesn't believe in God, or thinks He didn't create anything, that we came from monkeys.)

The plants, the shells, the swimming, the walking along, the canoeing in the water. Never been to a shop by the beach, so do tell about your experiences please.

I don't shop near beaches, & in fact, prefer empty ones. Other than that, it's all great, of course. But my absolute favorite thing, believe me or don't, is that great, wild, primal scent in the air! A deep inhalation of that chases everything bad out of your lungs...& your soul! Plus everything eaten on the beach tastes better--even with sand for seasoning! I love almost everything about the beach. I love hunting in the sand for beach glass and sea shells. I love swimming out to the sand bars and then letting the waves push me back up to the shore. I love the mist from the ocean that blows over your body while you are taking a walk in the sand. I love the fresh seafood that you can enjoy beside the ocean and I love playing in the sand. We are planning to take our two children on their first trip to the beach this summer and I hope that they will enjoy it as much as I do.

I love the water. I love wading in the cool water, especially if its hot. Although when it comes to swimming I really prefer the pool better than the beach, because I feel the pool is safer than nature, where you can never guess what creature might suddenly appear, or how nature is going to behave next.

I like the beach itself :) Of course also the sand, walking barefoot is the best. Also, I always wait for the sunset it is romantic and gives you the feel of appreciation of the things around you and it creates a good photograph :)
