Voting To Solve The Problem

Albert Einstein's definition of insanity was doing the same thing over and over again and hoping to get a different result. Voting is the same thing. You want to fix a problem by fixing it with the same solution that created the problem. We need to vote the bums out, sounds great and I am with you until you want to replace them. Replace them with what, your bums? Let remember the people you want to throw out of office were elected by someone else. Maybe someone else does not want their representive to leave office? What do you do then? There lays the problem with representation government your better is not someone else's better. Conservatives do not want a liberal representing them, same as liberals do not want a conservative, libertarians do not want a progessive representing them, and progressives do not want a libertarian representing them. Let me ask you a question do you like others forcing you to do something against your will? Well what is the difference between voting and forcing someone to do something against their will? Last thing I know that I will receive a response like this, "Well if you do not vote then you cannot complain." Well actualy if you vote you cannot complain. You are being complicite in an activity that will decide who will represent not just you but everyone that lives in your district or state win or lose. For me no one is morally fit to represent me except myself.

but that is the beauty of the majority. I agree with what you said. But majority rules. For me no one is morally fit to represent me except myself. So what would be your solution?

I know that no one here is down with the stateless society, except myself, but that would be my answer. So for everyone that must have a government I offer you national referendum democracy. If majority rules then lets cut out the middle man.

Gew, you bring up a great point. The problem is that no one knows how to solve this issue, and I don't even have a suggestion. We have reached a point in our country where half of the country doesn't like the other half. We are so divided as a country that we can't agree on anything, except that the country is messed up. But, like you said, throwing out the bums so we can elect new bums doesn't seem to be solving anything at all. Does anyone know where we can get some better bums?
