Please show some respect

To all mylotters,
I believe that mylot wants to encourage friendship among its members. And I know this community is composed of different people with different views and outlook in life. We can see that in a number of discussion being posted and responded here. Actually, I do not have any idea what to post here so I just keep on answering different topics from our fellow mylotters. But this time, I am fed up to read some discussion which "I will not give a name in order to give respect to him/her."
Can I just request to please give respect to other people's belief? As much as possible, I don't want to argue about religion but I am noticing that some mylotters is not giving respect to other mylotters regarding religion. I believe in God and if others do not, its ok. I do not post any comments against those people who do not believe in God. I respect their views and in fact I have friends who doesn't believe to what I believe but we have good relationship because we give respect to each other. So please, just please show some respect especially with regards to religion.

Cultural differences and relgious differences is very common here in mylot. Just to prevent that you won't get insulted just don't talk about something that you think could trigger arguments and all. RELigion here is common and can surely get attention and sometimes we won't like what they say.

hi yresh,
It seems to me that sometimes, just for the discussion itself that other mylotters won't care anymore if they are stepping on anybody. I think it is very selfish act.

I absolutely agree with you. I have my particular belief, but I won't go to speak ill of other religion or belief system. I may question things that I don't know about other religion; I may even critique because scholarly discussion has to have critique and rebuttal. But these all are different from abusing other religion, and being so polemical.
I think aggressive attitude generates more hatred than friendship. Thanks for starting this post.

hello annierose, i am with you all the way here. We are all born into our respective religions because our spiritual progress was meant to take place through it. All religions carry the same teaching of love, devotion, kindness and sympathy for all human beings and animal and plant life besides showing respect for all religions. No religion is big or small, all are equal but their way is different but yet the same.Sugar is contained in fruits, candies, sweets and all are different but the common factor is sugar. ?Similarly even though religions and their beliefs are diverse their essence is the same.Hence we should always show our respect to the religion of our fellowmen and not deride them for not following their particular religion. If one does not believe then the wisest thing would be to keep silent and not fall into arguments and debates since this can lead to acrimony and violence.

You are right, differences dont matter what is important is respecting a person whatever will be his/her belief. That is why we each of us is unique because of differences and its person's identity.
