How Long Does It Take------ To Have UR Meals-----30 or 60 Min ???????

Gone were the days when i used to have my lunch at leisure gazing at the clouds from the balcony---my intention was to sort out the figures(Elephants,Crowns bla bla---if you're patient enough then you can search for them in the blue sky) amongst indisciplined clouds which keep on moving Some how i had to stop gazing at the clouds(it would be foolish to search for them in the night haaah) as we were supposed to finish our lunch in 20 minutes in my college---couldn't make some time to examine the clouds. So i hopped onto Dinner this time around---i used to watch TV whilst having my dinner for almost an hour. Thanks to the star movies,HBO,AXN who aired good movies at 9 PM . So that was until Yesterday---coming to the present ---- i hardly take 10-20 minutes to have my meals(three times a day). How about you then---Was there any transition in the timings "you used to have" your breakfast, lunch, dinner 'then' and 'now'?

Hi sunny, interesting thought, and quite a way you expressed it. Under six, looking at garden and yard. :) School and college - 20 minutes each meal. Office - breakfast - 15 minutes, lunch 45 minutes, dinner 15 minutes. Now - same as above. Watch clouds - yes, when I take morning tea. Clouds, birds, trees, squirrels. :)

I had a squirrel friend in Kalyan Nagar. He used to climb the building every morning, run across and possibly drink water somewhere. :) And you can see them if you are looking for them. I dont know if you ever take the turn from srinagar colony towards Banjara hills. The corner area possibly belongs to some government department and therefore there are no buildings. Nor are there any glass pieces on the compound walls. I have seen squirrels quite often on them. :) The last time I saw a squirrel was yesterday, and I went to Shamirpet where I saw it. :) I watch doves - we have ample of them here. Few trees as well. Hope nobody gets into the mood of chopping them.

I dont believe the habitat i followed in my childhood lol---is there any possibility to remember such things this long .The ones i mentioned were those of my schooling(seventh-tenth standard) and the rest is of few years back so i'm well aware of those Ideal time for me to study those clouds was my lunch time---as i dont take Coffee,Tea ---i never came accross squirrels in hyderabad---i came accross one few years back but they do not show that often

I can prepare my meal in just thirty minutes. Whenever I eat, I always feel like watching TV so before the show starts, I always make sure my food is ready.

When I was in college I never ate breakfast or lunch, but I took a thermos bottle of fresh squeezed fruit and vegetable juice (usually celery and apples) and a bag of carrots and/or nuts to snack on between classes. I cannot eat a meal in 20 minutes, so I don't try as I think it is healthier to starve than to force the food down.

Thats weird---you never had your breakfast nor lunch .I would go crazy if i had to be that way---we got used to it though as our colleges are meant to be brain eaters---so having some food in the morning and noons would come to our rescue atleast to withstand those never ending lectures .I wouldn't receommend any kinda workouts to you especially after knowing your food habitat.

We had workouts. When I was in college they still had compulsory Physical Education classes. After playing soccer, I had to run halfway across campus and up 3 flights of stairs to get to my Shakespeare class on time.

Hi sunnycool, I never check my eating time because I did not wear any watch and I did not look at the watch hanging on the wall. But, what I notice is whenever I ate at my dinner table, it is much faster then when I ate in front of the TV (watching gooooood movies or news). And it would take more time to finish my meals if I were at in front of my computer watching live football telecast. And I would definitely need more time when I ate at the restaurant that shown a live football telecast with my friends. So, my eating times would be range between 15 minutes to 90 minutes.

Yeah ... went out for lunch or dinner with friends make us feel like hours running out fast just like a minutes. But when we went out with someone we like (girlfriend/boyfriend), timing just like using jet oils, too fast and I only ate half of my lunch or dinner when it is already an hour there. Maybe because I want all my foods digest properly or I take tooo much of it.

I never keep track of the time lol ?I dont need one though especially when my mom is at the back of me commentating and passing on the live feeds ---she asks me to complete my meal faster---In 20 minutes or so.we cant compare the time it takes when we're chilling out with friends---hours pass by like minutes On the whole you seem to be taking more time than normal people haha to have your meals

Hey sunny! I don't eat like "normal people" to being with! I never eat breakfast since I am never up early enough!lol And I usually don't eat lunch unless I am out and having lunch with a friend! I eat dinner pretty late at night and usually while I'm watching TV! So, I don't really know how long it actually takes me, but I would guess maybe about 20 minutes, depending on the meal! Like tonight for instance! I am only going to have a sandwich! So, that isn't going to take long at all! But, that is what I'm in the mood for! I don't feel like cooking and I have some nice pastrami waiting for me that I can put in the microwave, put on a roll with mustard and I'm good to go!lol

I'm a fast eater so I suppose about 2- 5 mins for me unless I'm watching movies or on the computer at the same time which I tend to do while while Mylotting.

It depresses me to rush through a meal. I'm one of those people who eat really slow and schedules that do not allow me to sit down and enjoy a meal usually do not agree with me since I suffered from ulcers as a college student and my stomach remains quite delicate to date. I also believe meals should be a communal activity with discussions and laughter as much as possible. :)

As far as I am concerned, I just usually eat a very short time when I am going to eat alone in the diner hall, which can be a better place for me to eat my meals. For me, I usually at most for 30 minustes per meal. But sometimes, if I am going to eat the meal with my friends, I think that meal will cost me a lot of time to eat. For when we are eating, we will usually spend a lot of time talking and talking which is a usal ways for us to enjoy the meal.In that way , we usually eat a long time.

Aww I have classes so I have to hurry up when eating. I should not waste time since I have lessons to review. We always have quizzes so approximately I only eat at around 5 to 10 minutes. When I'm at home, I eat for only 5 to 10 minutes coz I have assignments. What a busy life. I wish I could get through this. I wish I could finish my college right away.

Why dont you try to wake few mnutes early in the mornings rather than hurrying to catch up with your lessons.Taking your meals in a hurry without chewing properly might create some digestive problems on a long run and you would gain weight too so do not allow your tasks to pressure you up---make some room for your three meals As Joanna said, you seem to be habituated to complete your meals in 5-10 minutes---you can atleast take some time when you're at home

Welcome to Mylot ,Try to have your meals at leisure atleast for 10-15 minutes---your tummy would feel better then rather than filling it with ungrinded food
