Most Probably, all of us wash hands after taking the food... but, before taking meals, do we washing our hands......?? It is obvious for any person to wash hands after taking a meal, except some hobos. But I do notice that many people don't wash their hands before taking a meal. I love my hands when they are moisturized and so keep washing them time after time. But still, I do a quick wash of my hand before taking a meal. I don't use liquid soaps and stuff like that, as my hands are already clean with all my mania of washing hands time after time, but I just make water clean the unnecessary dirt from it. Regards, AJ-Rox

Hi arun, Yes, I do wash my hands before and after eating the food. It is habitual for me and my kids are also having the good habit. If there is party or function then water may not be there to wash hands. I feel really bad on that time and I use the water which I am keeping with me for drinking, to wet my hands at least. All of us know about the health benefits of washing our hands before eating. Many prefer to eat by spoon then also washing hands is a good habit to develop.

Sure I do wash my hands before meals or eating a pack of potato chips, who knows what dirt or chemicals are on my hands and could lead to food poisoning? Recently in my city there was a case where school children had severe diarrhea and vomiting. It was found they had handled a plastic toy made in china and did not wash their hands when they ate their food. The culprit was the chemical residues such as plasticizer leaked from the surface of the toys. It can be scary because sometimes you cannot detect these harmful chemicals which can be odourless. From this lesson I have learnt to always wash my hands before I reach for the food. I am sure you do not want to risk your health though you have not encounter something like the kids do. After eating I would also clean my hands with soap, but sometimes the situation does not allow, so I wiped my hands clean with a napkin.

I do make it a point to wash my hands both before and after my meals. But usually before having a snack I tend to forget to wash my hands.. and I think that is wrong. Finally snacks are also something we have and we should be washing our hands before putting anything in our mouth....not only meal time.

I do that! I was always taught by my parents to always wash hands before and after eating. Our hands are the dirtiest parts of our bodies and has direct contact to our face and especially the mouth. Its a wise thing to do to always wash it to keep us away from illnesses.

hi arunmails no I rarely wash my hands after eating. After all we are fed from Gold Crests kitchen and all wo rkers wear plastic gloves so nothing is contaminated, and any crumbs from the quite flavorless meals are not contaminated either, so why the need to wash after ward? I do not prepare any food and consequently my hands are not dirty. that is ridiculous to me.
