I used to check on nice clothes for a night out and thelike. Now, for e, I have to check twice that my pills and glasses are there. I also put my camera inside my suitcase: I like to have my hands free to manage other problems, should they arise. What is your most important item? Why is ir so important? Do you think importance changes throughout life? Share friends!

He knew where I was going and the part of the country is full of hot springs. And hot springs are great for joint repair. Maybe I could persuade you to come to Chile. Or, if it´s too far, to join me in Colorado. Lots of hot springs there too.

I take all the underwear I will need if it´s a short trip. I don´t like to wash and there are many places that will not have a washer and drier. Not that I use a drier at home, but I have where to put my wet clothes.

Hi my dear friend. I always have to make sure I have my daily disposable contact lenses. It is important I take a small mirror with me so I can see to put in my lenses into my eyes. Without my lenses I wouldn't be able to see any sites. I have to use one pair of lenses each day. So it is important that I take enough contact lenses to last my trip. I check that I have my vitamin pills. Taking my toothpaste is very important to me. I wouldn't be able to buy the sort of toothpaste I use elsewhere. When I was in my teens and early twenties I made sure I packed my prescription glasses and my sunglasses with my prescribed lenses in. It was in Australia that I got my contact lenses at the age of 21 years old. Hugs, Maxine.

Hi maxine, My therapist is going to have eye surgery while I´m on my vacation. Have you inquired if you could have one? It seems that for certain eye problems it is a very good choice. Take care!

i love travelling... i dont like the time spent sitting on a plane or waiting for a bus and etc. though... other than that its all good. i love the planning whether i only have a short time to research about the place im going or if i have enough time to research all the places and such. i like to plan on what to bring as well, maybe i got that from my father when he used to tell me to pack all of the clothes he picked out to be placed in his bag when he used to go on business trips. although i havent travelled to a lot of countries i feel that it all has to go back to the basics with 1 or 2 extra things be it clothes, undies or shampoo just in case. i recently found this energizer travel charger which was awsome! coz i could charge my nokia phone anytime and anywhere. but after using it a few months it broke! so sad! so these days when i travel the last things i check in my suitcase would be chargers for phone and camera. and extra sd cards. hehe.. and lastly my cellphone.. the invention of internet connection on a cellphone is god sent... no need to carry and fear about laptops being stolen when travelling just to keep in touch with loved ones while im away. hehehe

i can't remember what is the usual thing that i put in to my suitcase before closing it. i can't remember cause i seldom travel now and the last time i did was two years ago. i travel alone at that time. but trying to recall the thing, i guess, the last thing or things i put in, were toothbrush, paste and deodorant. Those are most important things as you never know if there is going to be a place nearby to buy them at the point of your destination.

My husband is Diabetic so I make sure that my husband has his medication. I always make a list of the things we need to pack and check things off as they go in the suitcase to make sure I have not forgotten anything. If I do not have a list it is hard for me to keep things organized.

I seem to always forget my tooth brush. When I go to visit my mother, she expects now that I will forget it. She often buys one when she knows I am coming. Or I just go to Walgreens to buy another one!

I used to forget toothbrudh, coms and all that until I got myself a purse where I put one of each only for travel use.

Used to be female products. Now it's my cell phone and camera chargers and any medication. If we're going to Hawaii it's also my snorkeling equipment. Most other things can be replaced if necessary.

I hope you have a great time on your trip! I haven't been anywhere in 11 years. When I did travel, I always made a list of the things I was going to take and I would check them off the list as I put them in my suitcase. The most important things I would make sure were in there were my deodorant, toothbrush, and toothpaste. I'm sure you know why I need these things, lol! I also make sure I have my night and facial creams because my skin is very dry. I have a very sensitive skin and I have to make sure I pack my Dove Soap. I have to have some kind of antacid because I have acid reflux. I didn't think about this when I went on that last trip and I had to buy some somewhere. I also have to make sure I have my eye drops because my eyes are very dry. I could probably pack my Restasis Eye Drops but my Systane Eye Drops, I could carry out. Kathy.

Hi Marg, ...these are the following items: 1. undies 2. accessories 3. matching shoes i had a bad experience not checking the pouch for my shoes. all the while i am confident that the shoes inside the pouch is the pair of shoes i need for the event. to my surprise when i opened it...it was a sneaker not the heels that i need. good that my sister has a spare and we have the same shoe size. i just borrowed from her.

hell0! well, for me the thing that I just can't leave at home when I go on a vacation/trip is my digital camera and since I have a video camera too, these two things are the most important to me that I can't surely leave when I am going on a vacation!

Traveling needs lot of plan and should be in a streamlined way otherwise many items can be forgotten. On traveling several occasions I gained lot of experience -Hence I have a separate suitcase filled with all the necessary items. Therefore, I am prepared to move at any time without hesitation as everything is ready.
