Hey , which country do you reside ? In my country 99% laptops have a maximium 2gb RAM and it is tough to assemble laptops to our requirements.

No I don't think we can assemble laptops in India as well.
Only we can choose how much ram we want an slight modifications possible.

Hey beachdune, in India, most of the laptops comes with 2 GB RAM but if you opt for performance laptop then 3 or 4GB or even more RAM is common.
Dell provides easy upgrade options while purchasing a laptop.Their upgrade options are so good that it seems like you are assembling a laptop suiting your requirements.
If you don't believe me, jsut visit dell official website or visit any of the Dell's store nearest to you.
Also after Dell, HP even offer such services to upgrade RAM, HDD,keyboards, graphics cards and much more.

Hi alex, just seen the review of this laptop and surely it will be a big hit in he market.
Well we have to wait for its launch and availability in India and this will surely beats its competitor.
Man...what a laptop with a great looks too.The screen is also good, 17 inches, RAM..8GB surely beats most of the laptops and the processor i7-720 QM , even its a mobility series, it has the capability to do most of the task and run most of the performance hunger games and ATI 5870 is like a cherry on the top of this cake.

Yeah I wish I lived in america at times like this!
India asus is not available at all.
The design of the laptop is incredible!
Cooling is perfect and needed for a card of this size.

I ordered one and hopefully will be arriving here in the Philippines within 2-3 weeks. Great LAPTOP!! watch it on Attack Of The Show on G4 and they gave it a 5/5! Cant wait to get a hold of mine. But I hear that some machines a2e plagued with GSOD's (if you update the Radeon's drivers to the 10.6 or so they say)and all models have this glitch of hanging up when pressing the Fn+Esc. Asus is in the works for the fixes while the fix for the Creative software will be a bit much longer.
I got the X1 model from newegg.com
