Being healthy is far more better than getting rich. Staying healthy is a thing to reckon with especially as one grows older. Exercise, diet and good hygiene all seem to do the trick, but nevertheless taking health supplements is something that i have been getting since i turned 40, i.e. herbal teas and other herbal supplements, and these actually made me stay healthy all these years. How about you? I

Great obe! if you continue with the exercise, watch your diet and consume herbal teas and supplements. Being healthy is not just taking care of the physical aspect alone. It pays to have a healthy body though. A healthy body should complement and maintain a healthy mind. It's also about taking care of our feelings and emotions. Negative thoughts have always been a part and parcel of our lives. They need to be challenged at times. Positive thinking is not only necessary to develop high self-esteem. It helps to manage anger and stress.

yeah, i quite agree...feel good and you'll look good... i have always looked at the good side of things, always trying to rationalize on things good or bad, staying calm and open-minded...

eat healthy foods, drink plenty of water, have enough sleep, and have peace of mind.

having a peace of mind really is important as it keeps me more alert and rational. i guess mind and body should be replenished everyday, healthy food for the mind and body.... having peace is an everyday goal to keep...

I think being healthy is not only focused on the physical but in totality of the person. Yes you are right bout the supplements, the diet, the exercise, and the hygiene. It just that sometimes the discipline to do all those things is the hardest part. In my part right now I have been running long distances, taking on supplements, and taking care of my diet. It is really important to start young, we will get old anyway. hahaha

Personally, I'd stick to natural sources of immuno boosters from natural foods such as garlic, ginger, chili and lemon grass ... etc? Like you I would take physical exertion seriously. Some of us may dwell too much on the comfortable lifestyle that may actually be a big mistake. I take every opportunity to walk or take the stairs if I am not getting enough exercise. Finally, I think a good balance between mind and spirit is always a challenge to achieve. The conscious mind always seems to get in the way of optimizing a healthy body. Some people do not take health as seriously as others. We all have our reasons, don't we. "Some the next life as an afterlife. Some see this life as a before-Life; the next - Life." Anonymous Cheers

i've had my shares of the comfortable lifestyle when i was younger and i guess it has its setback when you grow older, that's why i'm trying to watch my diet and exert effort in doing physical exercises.. as for the natural herbal supplements, i think it does really help me at this time..

I agree that staying in good health is very important and far more important than all the money in the world! I have tried supplements although I will take your word for it that they can do some good as you've been using them yourself and can attest to this. I love to cycle on a regular basis and this is a very good form of exercise! I know that walking can also be very good for you although I have struggled with this in the past as to be quite frank, I consider walking quite a boring activity! I'm beginning to change my thinking on this now though as I have come to realise that walking may be the only way to lose any serious weight from around the waist! So, I have started walking daily and this will last for two hours. As I'm not used to it I find it quite a task but the longer I do it the easier it will become, I hope! I've also heard that drinking water can be very good for you. Again, I've not taken any pleasure from this in the past and I would normally restrict myself to drinking tea. However, I recently started drinking water and I'm just putting up with it! I have adopted a technique whereby I will have a cup of tea and my next drink will be a glass of water and then I will have another cup of tea and I will continue to do this throughout the day! By doing this I'm at least getting my intake of water but I'm not giving up on other drinks I like to enjoy. I would also love to return to swimming as I used to do this on a regular basis. This is far too expensive now and so I have given it up. Overall I think I am fairly fit and I also have home exercise equipment which I use on a regular basis. My diet consists of two boiled eggs every morning for breakfast and I'm also trying to cut down on the junk food, regular chocolate binging and so forth! Andrew

Hi obe ..Yes you are right ..Staying healthy is better than staying rich I am only 17 and i have had no problems till now . My secret of being healthy is my 1 TRUE love - soccer . If you want to remain healthy, then i recommend you to play soccer . Basically i played soccer from right from my childhood . But lately I saw an interview of a scientist who had conducted a survey in an university ..According to that all people who play soccer are very healthy . The reason is that soccer involves the coordination of our whole body and tests and even improves our stamina . You should at least devote 2 hours in a week for playing soccer . Just work hard in the field . I play with many uncles like 50-60 year old one's They are healthy and fit after they started playing soccer. Just try it and you will get addicted .
