Guide Ponies

April 24, 2010 11:08am CST
I was browsing the internet earlier today and saw an article about how blind people can have guide ponies instead of dogs, that guide them everywhere, to the shops etc. This is mostly in America, so what do people think of this idea? Are ponies a suitable companion for a blind person rather than a dog? The website is guidehorse.org i found it really interesting

Yes, I have seen that. The ponies are miniature ponies. They are very cute, and apparently extremely smart. Some experts say they are easier to potty train than dogs. And I guess if some blind people are allergic to dogs, a miniature pony does good in its place. I think it is really cool that they can be used in such a way.
