Dears, I am just wondering how does GodFathers, GodMothers manage to do mylotting with older than the age of 85 or above? My GodMother at 91 still manage to do her stuffs without being seniled nor forgetful. It is just that at times, she got perplexed with some things she had said. As in she wasn't sure if she said that nor she did that.

i was thinking of passing this up, my friend. however, there's one thing that caught my attention, because i am a filipino. probably, you've learned that word from filipinos there... if the administrator finds out the meaning of the word, i am not sure whether the topic will be posted. if that's what you really mean, in the filipino sense of the word. regarding the topic, let them be -- old, senile and what-not can do whatever they want, they are responsible for that, if they still know what being responsible is...

Thanks Sir for responding. I really don't know if that words means something when translated to your language. All I have known was they are all adjectives with similar meanings. Believe me, I respect people especially the older ones and I did not mean to hurt someone's feeling. I raised this topic because I was really amazed by someone from our team whos age are in likelihood of this post. I have learned that anyone can be as dynamic, smart and shining no matter how old he/she is. I think this is such a great example I learned that if you want to keep your brain's veins' continue functioning, you have to be active doing something especially on writing, counting, etc..

no problem there, my friend. it's just a knee-jerk comment because those words are gender specific in casting aspersion in our local dialect... as per those in their twilight years, their minds never slow down if they continue to use it. as they say, even if you're young and in the pink of health, physically, if you don't use what's in-between your ears, you mind becomes rusty and may not serve you well, intellectually, that is....

Thank you for responding. The other day, I have read some old post that one from our member already at 83 and she's very active. I really admire her. She sounds like my Granny when she was her age. My Granny is turning 91 and there were times that I couldn't get her.

Hi Kumar, was it Hatley? She is absolutely perfect. No damage to her memory cells. I dont know about my papa. But he always had this problem with his memory - even as far back as 30 odd years ago. So he is somebody I do have a lot of arguments with. :) But luckily for me, he is not yet completely out. Hopefully he remains like this at least. :)

Yes I know the feelings dear and we really need a lot of patience for them. When I settled back, I want to see my Granny staying with me and my family. Thanks and just extend my regards to your Papa.
