White Beach, Puerto Galera - This photo was taken when we were already riding the "bangka" on our way home back to the city of manila.

Last week, April 17, 2010 I went to the beach for the summer with some of my High School friends to escape the busy life of the city and just relax and swim and remove the stress by anging out by the shore of the beach of Puerto Galera here in the Philippines. Its one of the beaches that a lot of people visit during the summer/ :) I had a great time with my friends! Here is a picture of Puerto Galera. :)

Puerto Galera is the beach on a budget. Just a 2 hour bus ride from manila to its Batangas port, then another 45 min boat ride to the island. At least you can spend closely to PHP3000 for the weekend for food, transpo, snorkling and accommodation if you have a huge group around 10 for the whole 3 day weekend.

yes that is correct!! its a vacation that doesnt require that much budget! and its very accessible! next month I will be going to Boracay with my cousins! I am so excited!

hello! it sure looks like you had fun at puerto galera. I have not gone to puerto galera, i have only been to the beaches up north, in boracay and in palawan... they said that there are a lot of sharks in the sea of mindoro! hehe im scared!

wow, that must be fun! my highschool buddies are also planning on going there, sadly, everyone's too busy to organize the trip :(
