The ever present topic of LOVE

Have you ever been in love? What do you consider as "love". In other words how do you personally define love. I am in love for the first time and it feels so real to me. I know love is not just merely a feeling but an action as well. You don't just FALL in love, but you rather make a decision to love someone, this is at least part of the equation.

I agree with you. Love isn't the infatuation part that everyone seems to think it is. Love is a choice. Its making the decision and the commitment to be with that one person. Even when sometimes the passion fades, well first off, it is never really gone. But my point is, passion and the butterfly feeling doesn't last forever. Its not gone and it can come back every now and again. But love is making the choice to stay with that person even when the romance isn't always there. Its remember that this person is also your best friend no matter what.
And when love is a feeling... its so much deeper and almost too overwhelming to put into words.

I've been in love a couple of time in my life. Well being in love is totally different to true love. For me being in love like the ones portrayed in Hollywood is not real love. It mostly has to do with attraction and infatuation. So with this type of love, I have been in love a couple times. It may feel real but it isn't real. I guess I could say that I have never been truly in love. The best definition about true love I found so far is in the bible Corinthians 13. If you are able to do all the things that is described about love in the bible then I guess that must be true love. As for me I almost did truly fall for someone except that I became jealous and counted her wrongs later on in our relationship.

Yea I agree, I think that Corinthian 13 is a good representation of what REAL true love should look like.

I've been in love a few times. Next time I hope it develops into the kind of love where you would do anything for the other person and want to stay with them forever...

Love is a pure and true feeling which gives life a beautiful meaning and i would do anything at all for my love
