Do you ever wonder why Coffee serve Hot?

I was wondering why is coffee serve hot? I searched in google why coffee serve hot but I didn't find the answer.The thing that I only find out is the history of coffee but not even found who discovered it and why it serve hot? Now a days it can be serve it with ice and they called it ice coffee.In history it always serve Hot.

i love cold coffee but i love it more when its hot.. maybe because it tastes better when its hot? i also dont know the real answer to that

Maybe that's the answer, I also like the smell when its hot and it leave smell.

i think it was because before the instant coffees came by coffee was done granulated and we all know, even up to know, that pure coffee (untouched by manufacturing companies but just powdered, i think granulated is what they call coffee like this) is going to be cooked and that means boiled which means it would be hot .

Yup, thats true in their time their is no instant coffee that why every time they like to drink they boiled it. Thanks for your responds. Happy Mylotting!

It is served cold, but yeah, as you said..It's called "iced" in that case. I don't know why it's assumed that coffee should automatically be "hot". Maybe because of how it's prepared, and how it's been prepared over the years.. Maybe it's because in order to brew it, I think it must be using hot water? Just a guess, I can't be sure. Good question though. Hope you get a legitimate answer!

I think maybe it's because only hot water can absorb the sweetness yet bitterness of the coffee beans. And you can only smell the coffee only when it's hot, never cold. Yes, we can see ice coffee nowadays but somehow they will mix the coffee powder with hot water first for good mixing and put the ice on top to make it cold.
