A cell phone is like a microwave oven, it heats you from inside out. There are no sensory nerve endings in the brain to warn you of a rise in temperature that the radiation in the Cell phone gives off. The structure of the head and brain is so complex and non-uniform, that "Hot Spots" are produced, where heating can be tens of hundreds of times what it is nearby. "Hot Spots" can occur both close to the surface of the skull and deep within the brain, and also on a molecular level..... In short, excessive cell phone use can cause brain tumors.... Never put a cell phone to a baby's head......and limit your talk time to a minuite....

hi Cooljay, Is this information true about excessive cell phone use causing brain tumors. Where did you get this information. Has the rate of brain tumors increased since the introduction of cell phones. Just curious so I'll be glad if you can enlighten me. Thanks

My cellphone is important to me because I need it to get connected to everyone, especially during emergencies. I would like to know news immediately, or concerns about the people around me especially about my family. My cellphone also acts as an alarm clock for me so it has to be beside me on my bed.

Imagine the generation now, kids have mobile phones at the early age of what? my niece got her mobile at the age of 11, probably you know of someone who is also younger than that. But anyway as for the topic, well cellphone really revolutionized the advancement of communications. I do keep my mobile near the bed, but we don't that that along with us when we take a bath. I only use the mobile for sending text messages and less on calling because I can both be reach easier online. But anyway, it was really a big help and there are really good applications that you can use on your mobile like the camera and watching mp4 format movies.

There was a time whe there were no cell phones but we still had an idea of where our friends and family were and what they were doing. But now with the cell phones if we do not get a call from our close ones regularly we immediately get upset and angry. I have a cell phone that is with me all day long ... except in the kitchen and ofcourse washroom. I keep it next to my ed while sleeping so I do not have to get out of bed to attend to any calls at midnight.

Granted my cell phone is very, very important in my life, but I don't go to some of the same extremes that you've mentioned that you go to. Yes, I do take it with me to bed at night because I use the alarm function of it to make sure we wake up in the morning. The cell phone doesn't go into the bathroom with me because there are far too many bad things that can happen if it were to go into the bathroom. Now, I feel completely lost if I leave the house and don't take my cell phone with me, so it has to go with me whenever I leave the house. I've had a cell phone for thirteen years now.

My cellphone is important to me as well. I communicate with friends via chat on it and I get my emails on my phone. Sometimes I wonder what my life was before a cellphone. I also got my first cellphone when I was 22! :D

Not very important, actually. I only have it in case of an emergency if I am stuck driving on the side of the road and need help. Also, for my husband and I to communicate as we are both fairly busy, and will be both running errands and such and have to meet up somewhere along the way. Then we use the walkie-talkie feature on our phones, as it is cheaper than the cell. My daughters and I mostly text, as that is the most common form of communication in their generation.

phone is very important to me. I need a phone to exchange news with friends and relatives. I was not able to meet with relatives, but with my phone could still talk just say hello, or exchange information. with the mobile phone can be immediately delivered some important news. wherever I go I always carry my phone.

While cell phones are important, I would not say I'm overly adicted to them. I know how to hold myself. In fact my phone usually lasts a week or better because I'm not constantly on it. I have it nearby, I take it everywhere, but I don't do as much on it as I could.

Cellphone has become basic need like house. Its really important to have cellphone all the time with you. I make sure to carry mobile when going out. Most of the time we are happy with the happenings around us but there are chances when things go wrong and we need immediate help from friends and relatives or Police as well. In this case cellphone is the best friend that can act fast to get out of any unwanted situation.
