I've just been reading some posts here and I've been checking out a few sites. I'm interested in the idea of writing articles and submitting them to sites for payment. There seems to be little information about people relly earning a living from this. Do you earn good living by writing and submission of your articles? How do you do it?

Hi Jules, I write for ciao.co.uk,dooyoo.co.uk.Bukisa.com. Factoidz.com.All are review and article writing sites and the combined earning is definitely not enough to make a living. It is good but not substantial. But when you submit many articles you tend to earn more.. depending on where you live there are sites alike Associatedcontent and Helium which pay upfront which is quite good...all the best

May I ask you? Are you from India? Is the ciao site still working and is it paying for the Indian members? I was a member of ciao and got paid twice as well. but thereafter some problems crept and woudl not write. Do Indians get paid by writing on the sites tat you have mentioned?

Good decission i have tryed the making a living from writing but there are just so many people doing it. You can make a little bit of extra cash from it and it is a good thing to keep doing but a full time job is still required along side of it. There is no way you can make a good living every month from internet earnings unless you have no life or children to keep u from you computer. sitting infront of a computer is no way to be spending your life. seeing the world and enjoying the little things life throws your way is the way to so it.

You're absolutely right, collingiusti. There's no way to really be online all the time with family obligations. My husband frowns if I'm at the computer when he's home from work and my children are all still of school-going ages so I still need to take care of their needs and chauffeur them to and from school. Previously, I only had one computer and so my children and I were always fighting to get to use the computer. But now that I bought a netbook and my sister gave my oldest daughter a laptop, we each are able to go online at the same time. And by the way, I bought the netbook with my writing online income so my venture into making money writing does pay off.

i did that several years ago when you used to get $10 for 500 words easily, now you can only get about $1-$3 per 500 words. its not worth it at all anymore.

I don't make a living off of just writing articles. But, it is one of the ways I earn online. I believe it is very important to have multiple streams of income. There are so many ways to earn online...but I also feel that if you are a good writer, you can make some easy money each month.

Hi Jules01, try writing product reviews for reviewstreams.com they pay between $0.50 to $2.50 per product review and you can review just about anything as long as you actually use it. You can review websites, restaurants you've been too, clothes you wear, cosmetics you're using, etc.

I'm a member of a writing site. At this moment, I earn a living entirely from this. At this point in time, I'm only earning enough to pay my monthly cellphone bills. I'm hoping that it will get better. My ST goal is to have my online/passive income earnings cover my entire monthly expenses, but it has not happened just yet. If you submit articles regularly and have an extensive repertoire of writing, then I think it is possible to depend on this for a living.

I am a newbie writer. For about 15days, I was able to save for my phone and water bill. That took me 5-6 hours a day. I know that others are making a living out of writing. But as for me, I write to earn extra income. I couldn't dedicate my entire 24 hours in writing because I am also a mother and a student at the same time. But if you are serious about it, there's nothing impossible. You can hit your target!
