I am looking to make some extra money online by selling some jewelry that I got...besides ebay, amazon, or craigslist is there any other site that I might be able to sell my jewelry for a good price??? For example, I have a handmade pendant given to me by my mother its 18k white gold, with 1.15 ct diamond, and 2.15ct sapphire appraised for $3,620...I know the economy now days is really bad but some people want to benefit from other misfortunes....I don't want to sell it for just $1000 like I was offered, especially cuz it is still in the box in came in and I never had the chance to wear it...pls help me out.

Hi, I guess the best site for you to sell jewelry on is eBay, because it allows you to reach a broad market and make secure transactions. However, if you don't really want to sell on eBay, Amazon, or Craigslist, you may consider creating your own online shop through free sites like webs.com, multiply.com, facebook.com, etc. You can just post your products there. Multiply.com has a marketplace where you can sell your products. :) Oh, and I think you can also sell on PayPal, but I'm not really sure about it. But you can use PayPal checkout system for your own online shop (if you decide to create one) to make the transactions easier and more convenient. Or since you're planning to sell jewelry, you could also post your stuff on etsy.com.

Etsy.com is a great place to sell jewelry! There is also Yahoo! Auctions, Facebook Classifieds and MyStore. Best of luck to you!

If you wouldn't mind, I'm very interested to hear how this turns out for you! An actual human experience, from someone who is trying to sell a higher priced item, would be very interesting. Again, best of luck!
