i am cooking something with asparagus very rare. I know that these vegetables very helpful for all body and the minds, but after a one bad trying i stop to make something with its. I like to put it in casserole, but my husband does not eat it, so... :) just cut red, yellow, green sweet peppers, young pea, aubergine, asparagus, mushrooms (if you like), little bit smoked meat, onion. Put little bit olive oil, salt, black pepper, dill, curry and parsley. Leave for an hour or more and fried, when starts to stick, add a tomato sauce and stir very well, fried a tittle bit and add a water (as much as you want a sauce). Cook and taste if you need more spices, put it as much as you like. mix cornflour with little bit water or with a sauce from casserole (it should be cold) and add to your casserole. stir well until a sauce will be nice. Enjoy. Somebody likes to put pasta in it, so if you want too, then put it when you added a water.

that is a great question karubod. What I like to do for the people I cook for is add a little bit of garlic butter then though top of it a little crumbled bacon .(Or if you want you can even wrap the bacon around asparagus)

Asparagus is one of the most expensive vegetable sold here. I usually saute asparagus in little oil and pour oyster sauce over it. Or sometimes I add chicken to add a little flavor to it.

A great way to prepare asparagus is to steam it. You will need to cook it for about 15 minutes. When it is done add a little salt and pepper. Some like it with some butter. Yes, it does have some great health benefits. It is best fresh, don't buy it canned, it is to difficult to work with. Enjoy!

There are several ways to cook asparagus. I haven't had a kitchen in awhile and I have found that I can put some in a crock pot with a little bit of water and let it cook slowly until it's just like I like it!

Hi karubod, welcome to mylot, here my wife or daughter in laws don't know how to cook asparagus, because it is not so popular here, more over in the markets you can't buy fresh variety of this, only dried, people make powder and eat as medicines, it is supposed to cure cancer, i have heard some steam the fresh ones and cook Thanks for sharing Cheers. God bless you, have a nice day ahead. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. .

raw asparagus is very tasty. Or steam it but keep it a little crisp. Or you could make a creamy asparagus soup.

i take a small amount of olive oil in a frying pan and lightly coat the asparagus, put it on medium heat until tender, i like mine a little toasty brown, salt and pepper according to taste and then i sprinkle a strong parmasean cheese on top until that gets toasty brown. now while doing it this way you have to keep moving the asparagus around i use chop sticks so as it does not stick to the pan, i can make a whole meal out of that, some sprinkle lemon on it but i choose not to it's up to you. also according to where you live if you cant find some nice thin asparagus and the stalks are thick use a potato peeler and peel the ends of the thick stalks 1/2 way up and they will cook in equal time. ok now im hungry

We don't cook it a lot, but I like to buy it when it's in season (when it's cheaper and tastiest!). I have steamed them, but I have found that roasting them is quite wonderful. You just line them up on a cookie sheet, put minced garlic over it - and add salt and pepper. Stick them in the oven for like 10 minutes and it's done. I like it when it's a tad crunchy . . . mmmm - I'm craving some now!

I am actually not the one who cooks it but my dad. I love eating asparagus and I like it boiled with salt and pepper.
