Update On Us

There's been a lot going on lately that I've not gotten a chance to update about. Okay so that's not the truth, I've had plenty of chance I just hadn't gotten around to it. This being the last day of the month, and seeing as I have a lot to say, I figured today would be as good as any to get this discussion out and it should help boost me to the payout mark at the very least.
We didn't get a car, any at all. We tried three times but to no avail. The last time was with a cosigner, as they said we could probably get it with a cosigner, but we couldn't. Instead of doing that we're going about it a different way. We'll just build up our credit with the square piece of plastic, yep you guessed it.
Well other then that, my husband is trying to get third shift at his job and he's got a really really good chance to get it. I've applied at a pizza place in my area and I really really hope to get it. I've thought about ways to save money after I get a job, and figured if I do get a waitress job we can save the tips and then mass deposit them at a later date.
When my husband gets off tonight, hopefully he'll have more information about whether or not he'll get third shift, I really hope and pray he does so I ask all that are the praying kind to pray for me as well.
Oh I almost forgot, I've been driving more and have gotten good enough to where I can drive with my husband. I haven't gotten on the interstate yet and have no intentions to for awhile, but thus far I'm really happy with my progess on driving.
So what's going on with you guys that you'd like to talk about here?

Sad to hear you didn't get the car. Maybe a better one that you like better will come along. Hope you get the job. I would advise you to be very careful with the 'square piece of plastic' you speak of. You can get yourself into ALOT of trouble using those things. It may be slower to save your tips but in the long run you are saving ALOT of money.

Oh I am very much aware that it can get us into a lot of trouble so we are going to be very careful and only buy things on it that we can payoff shortly after. It's a secured card and is meant to help build or rebuild credit :D We're just waiting for the app to go through now!

Well, do yourself a favor and don't get several of them. Credit cards scare me alot. Everyone that starts out on them thinks they have it all handled and know what they are doing. It is so easy for it to get out of hand. Good luck to you!

We are having the same problem with needing a second vehicle We would like to get a truck. Problem is money of course. Credit second. We ae trying another option to see if we can get approved.

We don't really need a second vehicle, we need a vehicle period. Hahah! But we didn't get the loan, which is okay, we'll surely get a car, and probably a better one at some point.

Good going with the driving! You're smart not to tackle the interstate yet. I think it's wise to just get used to regular driving. Thinking back to when I first started driving - it's a good thing I stayed off the highway! 
I'll be praying that God gives you guys the jobs you need. As for anything I'd like to talk about? I think I best save it all for a shrink!

I take three main roads and that gets me to where I need to go, it also has a nice view so it's enjoyable (though i keep my eyes on the road for the most part). Thanks so much, I really really hope to get the job and hubby does as well. Hahah, oh there's plenty I could be taking up with a shrink myself!

Hi, SomeCowgirl. I am very happy for you! I hope that you will get your driver's license when you take your road test. I am planning on going for mines this summer. I wish you the best of luck. I know how hard it can be to learn all of the ropes on driving. I am sorry about you guys being unable to get the car that you wanted. I hope that your husband does get the job at the pizza place. And I also hope that you are able to get a job as a waitress too. As for me, there is nothing going on too much with me now. I am just making sure that my downstairs neighbor stays into check. I had to call the police on him last week because he kept on hitting the crap out of his ceiling. The manager already had told him to stop, but he just would not. I hope that the police officer broke it down to him real good. Because the next time they come, he may just be going to jail. I have taken enough of his mess. I am not going to take anymore. There is just no way possible that he can make a home out of an apartment. Can you believe that this fool said that he wants it this way while he is living here??

I want the job at the pizza place (being a waitress) my husband just wants to change shifts at his current job! I am sorry you're having such a hassle with your neighbor and I hope he does stop pounding on the ceiling. My road test won't be until May of 2011 so I've got awhile, and I actually already know (unless they change it) pretty much where I will be driving so I can always practice in that area so I am very very good at it and will have no need to take the test again.

I am glad that you have been able to find work, I wish I could. I have been out of work since I graduated college and with the government cutting back on education spending it looks like I have a degree I can not use. I want to wish you and your husband all the best.
I have been looking for work from home job so I can make money. Lately, my husband's car has been acting up and all we do is dump money into it then when the service engine light comes on there is something else that goes wrong. I had planned on getting the deck repaired, but now because of the car we cannot afford it. I hope to make extra money on here and am looking for a couple of other sites to make extra money.

I have not gotten it yet but I am really really hoping I do. I know with the economy the way it is it'd be much better if I had a job to. At any rate we're just paying bills now and not really saving, but we're slowly but surely working on that. I hope you can find a job and another car as it seems like that one just isn't worth it. Hope you can get your deck repaired too, but first things first, the job!
