I like George Cloonie and most of his movies but "The Men Who Stared at Goats just din't make for us. (My grandson and myselfI. He found it so boring he went to play on his computer before the first hour was over and I fell asleep. The trailers made it look so interesting. Were we the only ones to find "The Men Who stared at Goats" boring. If you found it good tell me what we missed.

Thanks for the review! I thought this looked like a very funny movie but I won't rent it now, I'll wait for it to come on television. I really like hearing what people think of these things because the commercials make them look so funny or thrilling or whatever and they usually are wrong. One rule of thumb I use that is generally correct--if the critics hate it, I'll like it and if they rave how good it is it's sure to be a bomb!

I have not seen the movie, but with a good reason. Every single review of the movie I read said it was awful. Entertainment Weekly gave it an F. I read a couple of magazines that include movie reviews, and then of course there are online sites which I check. Sometimes, no matter what the review says I will rent the movie anyway when it comes out on DVD - bad review or not. But in this case, it seems I was better off not renting it. Thanks for reinforcing my decision!

Hello Ambie. I really don't pay any attention to movie review because I usually end up liking the movie. I usually base my decision on the actors. I like George Cloonie and his movies usually are pretty good. One of my favorites is "Oh Brother Where Art Though".

The soundtrack for Oh Brother Where Art Though was amazing.

I thought it was good for the simple fact that the majority of it was true. not the actual story but all the facts.

I guess that we missed that it had some facts going on in the movie.

You can watch a lot of the interviews from the guy who wrote the book on youtube. Its scary to think this is our government in action.
