Hi, welcome to mylot. Thanks for giving such a wonderful explanation of Chinese tea. As a Chinese myself, I actually know only a little about it since I'm not really into tea. One thing I want to know about Chinese tea is which kind is suitable for different seasons. For example, in what season should people drink green tea and when should they choose black tea? My father is kind of addicted to tea but I can't tell him how to choose the right kind. Hope you can give me some suggestions. Thanks in advance.

It's really good to learn that you're pursuing the doctorate. As a master myself, I'm also thinking of continuing the doctor program, but all the things in life just hold me back. Perhaps I need to considerate more about it and get down to work before I'm getting too old. Just kidding! I'm still a young girl!

I love tea. My mom is Japanese so her side of the family is always making tea. My grandma gave it to me whenever I was sick. Oolong is one of my favorites. I prefer the darker bolder teas but a lot of my American friends prefer lighter teas or green tea. I'll pretty much drink it all. It's very good for you.

Hello yan. I like to drink tea very much. Every day when I start to work, I would make some tea or a bag of tea. I drink green tea and white tea, but I don't have much knowledge about it. I drink tea to keep me energetic for my work during the day, but I don't drink tea in the evening as it spoils my night sleep. lol. Take care.

I am a tea lover. But you know my doctor recently asked me to stop drinking tea because it triggers my classical migraine as it contains caffeine. I loved green tea. I have tasted black tea and white tea, but I haven't known what's oolong tea and pu'er tea is. I wanted to taste them as well.

Well, I have heard that Chinese tea culture refers to the methods of preparation of tea, the equipment used to make tea and the occasions in which tea is consumed in China. Some writers classify tea into four categories, white, green, oolong and black. Others add categories for red, scented and compressed teas. All of these come from varieties of the Camellia sinensis plant. I have never tried most of them but green tea was nice.

Bak Kut Teh - Bak Kut Teh-Singapore's Favorite food
I like tea and there are so many variations of tea. Even my younger sister gave me a gift last Christmas, its a book all about tea but I have not read it yet until now. Maybe I should start reading it soon. I have been in Hong Kong last September and I like the tea being served to us while in a restaurant, its fresh leaves in a tea pot with hot water. Me and my Chinese friends like it so much. I find tea very interesting, its very healthy as it gives anti-oxidants to the body. It helps me to avoid constipation and makes me relaxed (Chamomile Tea). I also like the Bak Kut Teh of Singapore, I like it so much and the Chinese restaurant owner told me that the soup of that dish is made up of TEA. I attached a picture of Bak Kut Teh, for others who does not know it, its pork spare ribs cooked in a claypot with tea and Coriander leaves. Please share more knowledge about tea.

pu'er tea is also typed as pu-erh tea, it is a semi-fermented tea. it is producted in yunnan province, china. the tea leaves is different from puer tea to common green tea. maybe i need to star from the beginning. we take the leaves from the tea tree, and through differe method we can get different kind of tea. but for some special tea, we need the special tea leaves. there are tow major kind of tea tree. the biggest characteristic is the size of the leaves. puer tea need the big tea leaves. did i make meself clear? ya, english is not my mother-language, so you need pay more patient. i will try my best to give you some useful imformation.
