The forces of evil did it again. They managed to disconcert the voting public. Now, everyone from the tsismisan sa tindahan to the talakan at bidahan sa radyo at telebisyon is expressing fear and apprehension whether our one vote will be counted. After all, who would believe that techie gadget could be produced by Monday, election day! But let us remain calm. When Monday comes, let us get out and troop to the precincts and cast that one vote. It is our duty to do so, our formidable right as Filipino. Be not afraid of the scheming dirty tricks. The cheats will have their day of reckoning. But Monday is our day to stand up. Remember, the voice of the people is voice of God! See you guys!

Let us vote this coming May 10! If worst comes to worst, we just have to trust that COMELEC has a back-up plan ready. Right now, nobody wants to be associated with COMELEC. I remembered seeing their faces at the news when they had press-con regarding the recalled flash cards. I actually felt pity on them. It is very obvious that they all are blanking out. But at least SMARTMATIC seems cool. Maybe they can fix the problem by May 10. MAYBE. My voter's list is ready. I am actually eager to vote for the first ever automated elections in our country! By the way, my neighbor who was hired and trained by Smartmatic told me that they are expecting the PCOS machine tomorrow if I'm not mistaken. By Saturday they will be testing it. I hope I'll be hearing good news from her. Because we are definitely not getting any from the local media.

If we are serious in moving forward as a nation each Filipino should be more involved in politics and not just leave the politicking to politicians. Those who want the automated elections to fail have only one thing in their minds and that's to protect their own interests and stay in power. Can just God strike them with ligthtings all at the same time? ...hmmm... what a beautiful philippines this would be. Ahhh...wishful thinking.

my wife had asked me, while watching the news report about the new compact flash cards, and the new testings done in the precincts, "so what does it mean, is it good?" and so i replied, "yes, and we should not be afraid". we will all go out on Monday to exercise our voting rights. that is only ONE so let's not waste it.

been a long time since i've seen you here... or was it i who hardly had the time to hit mylot. well, regarding your topic... filipinos are resilient, patient and suffer to a fault... that is why we have abusive leaders and corrupt officials... the same resilience and patience will get us through this phase -- the automated elections -- in our history. have faith, and the almighty will see us through...

Very nicely said in these times of confusion. I think you are right about that we as voters should continue on our precincts on election day and cast our vote. Those concerns should be dealt with Comelec and they are responsible for anything that may come in there. But I am hoping this will be averted because the election should be made on Monday because that is what is in the law. We need the change in leadership in our country.

I agree...let's all pray for a peaceful and orderly elections...we should be vigilant, lest evil will triumph. May 10 will be a make or break for us...may the will of the Lord be done through the votes that we cast. And may we start the healing process at once after the elections. Remember, there is life after the elections.

there is so many shady things that is happening with this automation stuff that i can't stand it, that i just shut off the tv or change channel. denying the manual count,"Reprogramming" of the chips this late?( can't seem to remember but isn't it that they have released the machines last week? am i wrong?) does it take that long to see a mistake this big and how come those mistake mainly from mindanao? this is really intriguing

I really don't like what's happening. I'm afraid that it's possible that we would have failure of elections on Monday. I can't believe how incompetent the officials are. They're supposed to be helping to make our elections more efficient, but instead they made it more unreliable and prone to cheating.

I also don't like the conditioning of the minds for failure of elections. I don't think that will happen. The few good men somewhere in that Comelec cage will not allow that to happen. (Am crossing my fingers, of course!)

I will vote, regardless if it goes error or not, this machines are very sensitive to the core. the competence is those in the comelec. this is what happened when they let gordon alone in this crusade for the automated election law and inability to take test during the past elections because other areas are actually automated during the last elections, now we see the mistakes around ud. just pray

It was proven that gossips are true over the television; that this administration is excruciating all the resources just to let it's candidates win. I have fear also because the COMELEC don't have a credibility to process a clean election. But I believe God would intervene. Let's hope for the best!

On monday I am going to vote actually this is my first vote. All I can do is to shade the ballot and wait for the result. If the machine encode the wrong result which I have voted I am going to tear off the ballot infront of them and tell them how disgusting that smartmatic and comelec preparation is. They had given so much time to prepare why are they cramming now? They are making hocus focus for someone I wont allow them to do that so please let us unite for clean election in regards with the result it is in our hands.

Kisha, don't tear the ballot. That may subject you to such a thing as disrupting the elections. The corresponding punishment is not very wholesome. Cast your vote and let the pcos do its thing. Whatever the outcome is, I am sure it will not be to the detriment of the voter nor our people. You'll see. Have faith, little one.

Hi Eileen, This is the kind of attitude that all of must have right now. Let’s do our part first and let God do rest. Let us pray hard for a peaceful election. We all can make a difference. God will always be there to guide us! Enough with being a negaholic – even for a moment. Let’s hope for the best.

I don't know about being calm, but I am certainly going to vote on Monday. I was so pissed with Smartmatic. After all the work that they put in, they forgot such a simple thing as testing. I was watching the news a few days ago where they covered a technician from Batanes (I think, or some far-flung area) struggle with the PCOS machine. The cameraman had to teach him! My point is that, the timing is so short that some areas might not get their CF cards on time, or worse, they would not be informed of the changes. Well, all we can do is pray now, and yes, go to the precincts on Monday to vote!

For me, People must not to over react. I cannot imagine why people are so react regarding vote machine. In the first place, in my opinion.. Filipinos can easily adapt the technology in terms of new cell phone out in the market. But simple machine they cannot even adapt it. They are scare to adapt it or they are scare on how they will buy votes. Sad to say.

lovely, the people are excited about the automation. The testing of the pcos machine revealed the memory cards faulty and couldn't count the votes correctly.

I hope the smartmatics check first everything before they deliver it to the precints. How I wish. After the declaring of the new president, Im hoping people will just accept what the result. And please dont declare some People Power if you loose or some Rally.
