breadless burgers are the future?

I think KFC could be on to something with the Double Down Sandwich. Burgers that have no bread what so ever could be the future of fast food. But it depends on whether or not people buy this thing like I think they will. I don't like chicken. Made a conscious decision a few years ago to stop eating it. If somebody where to sell a fish fillet version of the double down, I'd give it a try for sure. What about you? What do you think the future holds for this inventive evolution of the burger?

Hi, cbjones. I really think that this would not be worth eating. I want bread with my beef patty. It completes the entire burger. This is the first time that I have heard about this. Burgers with no bread??? That is like eating rice with no butter on it..

It looks like a heart attack to me but that is because it is fried chicken being used. I have to low carb for diabetes issues and these sandwiches are deceiving as the breaded chicken is loaded with carbs. Now if they can do it in a way that is grilled I would try it. I am not (lucky for me) a big bread lover, i am in fact very picky about rolls and buns and tend to pick off the fast food versions and only eat the insides so I would be one of the buyers yes. I hope it takes off but just not with all the super friend breaded stuff. The lettuce wraps are popular in sit down restaurants and if they made them fast food wise I would bet they would be popular there too.
