My son loves hotdogs..I really prefer not to eat them (at all!) Yuck...as a kid-I loved them..but then after I learned what they were made out of-that did it! Do you like hotdogs? If you do, what are your favorite brands? We've been using Hebrew National-because if I let him eat them-I'm going to try to find the healthier version!

I use to like them too, but even though I have not research the content anymore and vaguely have learned about the process, I have stopped eating them. My body rejects them and am skeptical about them as well.

oh its intriguing enough and the first choice of key words: What are hotdogs made of? , returned this link: http://www.coolquiz.com/trivia/explain/docs/hotdog.asp Seem you are mostly correct, the meet or main ingredient choice is one other wise meant to be garbage, and yet we buy it and some even eat it. yuck.... is right.

Hi, RachelleNH. Yes, I do love hot dogs. I like Oscar Myer and Carolina Pride hotdogs. I don't usually eat them. But I know that my mother-in-law eats them almost everyday. I don't think that it is very healthy to eat this all of the time. I usually will eat the less fat flavor.. I like the chicken and beef kinds too.

I was grocery shopping one day and an elderly man was in front of me with like 10 packs of hotdogs and 5 bottles of seltzer water...I started wondering if that was his daily dinner...and got to thinking of how unhealthy it is to eat them that often. I know they're sure cheap but cheap isn't always healthy. I was sad to think of it that way. I hope your MIL figures that out before her body does.

Hot dogs are my absolute favorite. They remind me of summer time. Hebrew National is a great brand; I buy them for lunch sometimes when I go to Costco. When I was in high school, I flew to Chicago for a trip and ate a real Chicago hot dog. It was the absolute best thing I have ever tasted. They were so large; they topped it with jalapenos, onions, and all sorts of things. Whenever I go back, that is the first thing that I'll have to eat.

I'm from Casey, ILL originally and do you know that as many times as I've been to the big city-I've never had a real chicago hotdog? One day I will just to experience it!

I think reading the ingredients has become customary for me now...after finding out what's in things-it makes you stop and ask-do I reeallly want to eat that?!

I used to eat a lot of chickendogs. But I think I'm going to limit them already. I'm trying to switch to a raw food diet.

Raw food diet? Is that where you only eat fruit and stuff from the earth-nothing with any added ingredients right? How much do you know about it? I'm interested in where I can learn more!

Oh yes I still like hot dogs on occasion. We now only eat the Hebrew Notional one because they are pure beef with out any other fillers or pork. There are some hot dogs made from chicken or turkey but they really don't taste like a real hot dog. My grandkids like them but to me they are gross tasting. give me a real hot dog made from beef.

I am with ya there...I don't want to even be thinking about what I'm eating. I want to be able to enjoy it and not worry what the health risks are. I started buying Hebrew National after my sis brought some over...my son really took to them. I have to admit-I did eat one..

now you can't go to the ball park with out hot dog, they just taste different there for some reason,I want mine burnt on the grill, I love the black burnt part it changes the whole taste of the hotdog, some of the cheap hot dogs are nasty tasting, I see that some are now made with chicken so that is bette than what they are usually made from the left over scraps of the meat. I dont' think they are really that good for you, but I would assume that the chicken ones are better at least somewhat.

I like hotdogs. But here in india its more of chicken or mutton hotdogs that r sold. There r no other vaiations of that. No major brands get sold. But as u say that there is something else they use there in the US or atleast for that particular brand, hope u get the healthier and better option soon.

I do like on once in a great while. But I don't really eat them much as they have too much salt and fats for my diet. I have high blood pressure and high cholestral.

You're smart to limit them. They are truly bad for you...bad ingredients and bad for the diet

I enjoy a good chili dog every now and then. But naturally too much of anything will make me sick so i get tired of something if i have it often. I like hot dog in bun with chili and stredded cheese. I also enjoy corn dogs with ketchup. My son loves both as well. He normally eats just a weiner because he is three. But recently after seeing mommy eat a hot dog in a bun with chili on top he decided he wanted the same. And he did indeed eat it just the same. LOL!

I am a huge fan of chili! I think it's a little messy though. My son loves corn dogs, we put ketchup and mustard swirled and he dips. He prefers the honey battered corn dogs.

My kids love them too but I cannot stand them. i do not like the taste at all. My husband though can eat a whole pack to himself and can eat them in or with anything. Mac n cheese, beans, hot dog nachos, yes I said nachos, that one grosses me out so bad really...yuck! He tops them off with cheese and salsa and sour cream and all the usual things.

Hodogs are a great food especially in the summertime. Hotdogs cooked on the barbecue or an open fire are awesome. Some brands do taste better than others. Beef hotdogs have much better flavor than chicken or pork. And it just isn't a ballgame without hotdog in your hand.

Sometimes I feel I am addicted to hotdogs.Every day when I don't have enough time to go and have ordinary lunch at a restaurant I have the only opportunity to buy a hotdog from the cafe of the university. This means I eat such food too often but I am not tired of it.I just keep on eating it with delight.

Well, if you like it than that's all that counts...but you do need variety. A lot of students do this though in their college years.

The best brand we got here is Purefoods Tender Juicy. There are cheaper brands but the taste are just way too different. I love hotdogs but I try not to eat anymore because it's not healthy.

I like hotdogs but I've always liked hamburgers better. You would think I would get tired of hamburgers but I just never have. I guess it's because I remember as a teenager when daddy used to cook hamburgers on the grill for us out on the patio on Saturday Nights. They were always so good! Mother would cook french fries to go with them. Mother liked hotdogs but I prefer hamburgers anytime. It might also be because I was raised on a farm and I was in the 4H club as a child. My cousins, nephews, and I used to raise and show calves and we were taught that beef is good for you.

I do love hot dogs, but do not eat them often. Even though I was raised on Hebrew National, I prefer Oscar Mayer meat (chicken, pork) weiners. I like other brands OK, but only when they are on sale. I like to eat hot dogs in different combinations on a bun. Mostly I like mustard, relish, and sauerkraut. Sometimes I like to add cheese, chili, or coleslaw, in different combinations. Sometimes I even use ketchup instead of mustard, a rare non sequitor! My family does not like to eat hot dogs except when I make my mom's hot dog, baked bean, and bacon casserole. Parenthetically, hot dogs can be made more healthily using veggies, poultry, seafood, tofu, etc. and no preservatives. I haven't tried any of these. I like the real deal, but, when there is time in the day, I may try a more healthy version to see if I like the taste.

I just can't still believe the way it made but i still love eating hot dog. I love eating it since i was a kid specially when i partner it with ketchup and some other dip. I also love to eat grilled hot dog, i think its much delicious than frying it. I also love to partner it with a bread specially when the hot dog is cheese dog. I like all the brand of hot dog except in one brand, i forgot its brand but it really taste so sour.
