Has anyone tried those 'electronic cigarettes' to stop smoking?

With so many places banning smoking I have seen more and more adverts for so-called 'electronic cogarettes' which are meant to look , feel, and taste just like the real thing and even give of a non toxic smoke. Do they actually work. Has anyone tried them ? I have even seen them advertised here on myLot, they are not very cheap, so before I try them I would love some feedback. I know smoking is not healthy but trying to give up aint easy either, these ciggies claim to be non addictive and dont harm anyone else, ie. passive smoking. Comments anyone.

Hi Haddowz, A woman up the school told me she had got one off Ebay for about £20 she said she thought it was fantastic but sold it on to a friend - she stills smokes so it couldn't have been that good eh! I have tried all sorts. The doctor put me on Champix, didn't want to smoke but have never felt so bad in my life and I am generally a really easy going happy person, my latest attempt was the inhalator, that worked and I didn't smoke for 25 days til I lost the thing and you can't buy that bit on its own and I just went and had a ciggie instead. I think it is more willpower than anything that will make it happen, some people don't need a crutch at all and will go cold turkey but that not for me as on day three was ready to lill lol. Huggles. Elie :D

You will know when the time is right for you and then you will find the inner strength to quit somehow. I have just got to reset my stop date and start all over as have recently found inhalator again but not ready yet. My worse time is sfter I have eaten I actually enjoy a ciggie then :)

The worst time for my craving a puff is when I am drinking, especially coffee. There must be something in the coffee beans
