Dear brothers and sisters of myLot,
There was a time when I just hated magic. It seemed really complicated stuff and above all it was to me, a way of fooling people. May be I was too young to understand the intricacies of this art. Now, I suddenly found out that one of my maternal uncle is fond of magic. He is quite famous among children who consider him to be a very great magician. He has successfully integrated his magical skills with his teaching, and that is what makes him more interesting. The last time he came to visit us, he wanted to buy a few stuffs related to magic. He took me with him. This visit to the shop changed my entire concept about magic. Instead of hating it even more, I myself fell in love with it.
Now, I consider magic as a very elegant form of entertainment. It is based on deception and that is exactly what makes it a hobby the most intelligent and innovative people.
What is the element in our real life that surprises us the most? It is in fact the same deception. We are often deceived by our senses in understanding reality. It is this perception that draws us in conflicts. While there shouldn't actually be any conflict at all. What we observe with our senses is the reality to us, and that may not be the truth at all. Magic teaches us about this. This is why I consider magic as a very distinguished form of art.

Hello dear,
Yes, quick reflex and ability to innovate new tricks on the stage are a few things that make a magician popular. Traditional magic tricks are repeated so many times, we need creativity on the part of magician. The tricks they show in television are just a few very good combination of traditional and modern magic. The sense of variety is what distinguishes a good magician from an ordinary one. Till now I have not understood how magic is conducted. I know it is just a deception but I wonder how it is done. But I do love it and would like to learn a bit magic. I have organised a magic show for my daughters wedding.....I'm just waiting for the day.

Hi velentina,
In celebrations such as one of your daughter's wedding, the magicians have to be really skillful. The tricks that are usually successful on stage are not the ones that are performed in front of people surrounding from all directions. In such cases deception can be very tricky. yes, it's a complicated stuff and also I find it hard to understand. I don't know if my senses are only deceiving me or is it real? Some people can really do perform magic. I don't know but I think it is real. I don't believe in magic before until I watched the video of chris angel, the magician. Do you know him?is his magic is real?

Hi,
Magic can be thought of the creation of an extra surface. You look into the reality through the surface. Whatever you are seeing is not entirely real but its a intentionally distorted form of reality. Deception in magic is based on the limitation of human sensory power and instincts. Thanks so much for your response and yes I have watched many videos of Chris Angel and David Blaine and I enjoyed them very much.

Yeah, as far as I am concerned, I think I am a migic lover ,who usually watch a lot of Magic show on TV .For me, I love the magic ,especially showed by the famous people.Now, in China, there exist a very famous magic actor whose name is Mr LIU. He usually acts a lot of magic that seem impossible to make it come true. But with his hands, he usually let it happen.I admire him so much.

Well, magic shows in television usually make use of many visual effects that actually make the task of magician easier. But tricks that are played right in front of everyone can be more amusing than that. They need great practice and innovation. Thanks so much for your wonderful participation.

I can take it or leave it. I have seen some magic tricks that really amazed me but don't see much of it on tv. I think we should have an appreciation of good things people do. Happy weekend to u.

Hi,
There are so many demonstrations of magic tricks, so many videos and books to learn magic. Still the beauty of it actually lies on the creativity and innovative power of the magician himself. People get bored of seeing same tricks again and again. We are watching them on television from our childhood days. So a good magician must not repeat the same trick twice in the same fashion. Illusion can indeed be an art too. Thanks so much for your response.

I used to love card tr4icks growing up. Slight of hand was relly interesting back then to me. I was really into that show David Blaine used to have. What was it called, Street Magic? I think that's what it was.
Not that into magic anymore though. I think all of those secrets of magic revealed shows have ruined the illusion for me.

Yes they definitely did. Also this became a challenge to magicians. But the good thing about the street magic is that it involves more and more audience in it. More people have started appreciating the art of illusion. It is like a campaign that can be used to preserve this art. Thanks so much for your response.

i love magic even up to now that im old already, well, not that old but for me magic is for kids only
. i still remember when i was a child when we used to go to the carnival just to watch magic and other stuff and im always excited to watch it and trying to figure out how they do it though now that im old enough, i already know that its only a trick. i saw a lot of magic over the television specially david the magician, he was so great with his magic and you will really believe it as you cant even see any trick to it. anyway, they just mastered it perhaps for so many years of using it. and yes your right, its a great art to consider.

This is due to the innovative ideas that those magicians use to adapt to different environments and audiences. There are magic tricks that are to be played on stage and there are tricks for parties or small gatherings. Do you know what differentiates between these two? Its the environment favorable for deception. The tricks that are effective on stage may not be equally effective in gatherings. Thanks so much for your response.

i like magic, it never ceases to amaze me. Just recently a colleague taught me a magic trick and it never fails to amaze the children whenever i perform it. Even the adults are left wondering where the trick came from. I like to watch magic shows on TV although some are very tricky and sophisticated to catch the slight of hand. To those who are clueless you can't really help think that they have real powers to do such an act. But i really still can't get it why some magicians are able to put watch inside a canned corned beef.

Yes I have watched this movie. Nicholas Cage is one of my favorites. How much effective a trick would be totally depends on how skilled the magician is. Even his innovative mind may modify it at each demonstration for the sake of variety. Thanks so much for this response.

I love magic! I am always amazed to magicians and how they do their stuff. I want to learn it too. I just don't know how. Do you believe in David Blaine or Chris Angel? Sometimes I do believe them. How do they do all of those magic especially the levitation thing. I guess some people are really born with special talents. Happy mylotting everyone!

Hi,
You may start by downloading couple of magic lessons through torrent search. There are plenty of resources out there. The most comfortable and easy tricks are those played with cards. If you know a few tricks and are able to demonstrate them with great panache, you will be very popular among your friends and relatives. This sounds humble still this is a great beginning. But so many people ruined their lives in trying to become a magician. So its better if we just let it stay as a hobby. Thanks for your response.

hi getbiswa2000, i really love magic... especially magic shows in the television it makes me believe that some people have magic powers.. whooo =p ahahah but it was on the past..... now i don't believe in them anymore because i saw a tv show that reveals all the magic tricks.. hehehe now i know some magic cards and simple magic tricks that real magicians do.. which is fun ...

MAGIC IS LIKE..........NOTHING BUT...........MAGIC
But personally speaking, i dont like to use the word magic, i more appropriate word would be ILLUSION.
Yes, as you said getbiswa2000, magic is elegant.
But more importantly its the ability or you can say the mastery of performing acts that are deceptive and seem like magic.
But to end it i'll say....
i LOVE MAGIC!!!!!
