I heard a song I hadn't heard before I think the name may be I'll pray for you. I wasn't paying to much attention but when I did the whole song is about praying for things to go wrong for someone. This reminded me of how much of our energy people who harm us take. This is our choice, we can spend our whole lives praying for them to have bad luck or we can turn our energy toward all the better things in our lives and pay little or no attention toward the bad. Do you catch yourself turning your energy to negative things or have you made the turn into positive thoughts and actions?

I try to always be positive. It's not always easy, of course, and sometimes, I've learned, people take your choosing to be positive as condescending. I'll sometimes, for instance, be in an argument with someone, and at some point I'll say, "You know what? I've decided that neither of us is budging and this isn't something I need to be right about. I'm done arguing." And the person will think I'm basically saying, "Look how enlightened I am. I guess that just means I'm better than you." Oh, well. Can't win 'em all. Interestingly, I was trying to find the lyrics to the song that you mentioned. It didn't ring a bell for me, so I did a search. I didn't find the song you mentioned, but instead I found this song, which I think is much more fitting to the message of your post. I hope you don't mind me posting them, but I think, as I said, it fits the spirit of what you're saying: ** Oh! Actually, it seems I can't paste the lyrics in because I'm a new member and don't have a 500 ranking (or something like that). If you are interested, I do encourage you to search for lyrics to the song "Pray" by country artist Dierks Bentley. You'll see what I mean about the message of the song. **

Hi savypat! I am all about turning the negative in to positive things. It is a survival skill of sorts for me. Noway I would wish bad things on anyone. That kind of energy has a way of coming back around.

Yes Savy, I may rewrite this word 'Pray' as P + Ray...! P means positive and Ray means the radiant energy that comes in ray form! Always, a prayer gives a positive result both sides as a rule of universe. But negative prayers are also there, which harm both the sides, i.e. the praying person as well as the intended person. Of course, the intention of prayer is to achieve God's sanctions for overcoming crises. I may say that a prayer is always a means to get connected with God and have His grace against life's problems! God is good for a real praying person! Thanks for this nice posting and let's pray for welfare of all mylotters!!

Hi savypat, I can't imagine praying for something to go wrong for someone. I know that what goes around comes around but I refuse to let negative energy get to me. I always expect the best and feel that it's the only way to live. Blessings.

My son told me about that song about a month ago and sent me the link to the video. I understand how the guy feels about a girl breaking his heart and it's natural to wish that someone would do the same to her. I felt like that for a couple years after my divorce. But I never prayed for bad things to happen to my ex and once I was able to truly forgive him my life became much more positive. Negative stuff is so harmful! It can even affect our overall health. I'm much happier this way!

Sometimes I catch myself wasting energy on negative things.Especially while reading newspapers, watching TV and arguing with stubborn people.I'm learning not do do so.Life's too short to let someone of something ruin your day.A day that could be bright, beautiful and filled with fun.

I am pleased to say that a large part of the time I am positive. I am easy to deal with and get along well. But boy, the other part of the time, the negatives sure bring me down. I feel sad and lack energy when that happens. Not only that, the negatives eat you up from the inside out.

I love to hear out country music and just as what you have noticed here, they are full of messages regrading about the grace of God. There are numerous country music in relation to Christianity and suggest listening to the song entitle "Angel Among Us". Upon listening to such music, my energy seems to be replenish and have a happy and peaceful mind for the whole day.

Love hearing positive messages especially in the form of songs. I was brought up in a very negative environment by a dysfunctional father and depressed mother who is still the most negative person I know to this day! I used to focus on my negativity because that was I knew how to do until I grew wiser, went into therapy and with the help of medication moved away from my past and managed to turn my thoughts around. These days when those nasty little ideas pop into my head I do my very best to turn them into something good and you know what? I manage not all of the time but most of the time and I can honestly say that life is pretty good!
