when will adsense allow me to have an account?

i have signed up for google adsense about a month ago but until now, i havent received a confirmation mail from them. they said that a verification mail will be sent to the specified e mail address about a day or two but until now, no mail arrive... you guys, how long did google send you your google adsense confirmation mail? would you please share your google adsense story? hope mine is in its way to me already.
