Do you think that you are smarter than I am?

I don't think education can necessarily make one "smarter", at least beyond highschool learning. It may make someone more "worldly" or knowledgeable about certain topics, but as long as someone is given a good start in life, learning can be formal or informal, and knowledge does not equal intelligence. I know many professionals who are experts in their fields, yet if you met them on the street, you'd think they were complete boneheads.

Do I need to be?

I don't think I am smarter - just lucky that I had the chance to study further!
