Excluding MyLot, Facebook And Moneymaking Sites Which Site Do You Like To Browse

We all like to browse sites. Our favourites is full of sites we go on a few times and ones we go on every day. I do use MyLot the most I would say BUT it's not good to stay on one site all the time, is it my friends? Give you headaches. To take a break as it were I browse other sites to keep me entertained and to dream of a better standard of living. The reason I say this is that my favourite site after MyLot is....drum roll please... MyDeco.com! Obviously, I go on the British version of this site but there is a US version too in case you're interested. I don't really know what the big attraction is with it. One thing I do know, however, is that the site itself is MASSIVE and growing all the time. My favourite feature on it is "shopping" but I don't do any "shopping." I just sit here in amazement because if I put say "coffee tables" in the search bar it will bring up a load of them from different websites so then it gets me interested in those sites as well. Not all furniture sites, as an example are listed but enough to keep me occupied for a while. So, my friends, what site(s) do you like to go on other than the ones mentioned in my initial question?

Hi Janey..First of all, I'm sorry that you seem to be in a "funk". Know how that is, as i have visited that place on many occasions myself. The only advice I could give you is to just get up everyday, pray, and put one foot in front of the other. When we start doubting ourselfs as it seems you are starting to do as far as work goes, the problem grows and it grows fast. You are a bright, intelligent girl with a lot to offer and don't let words like receptionist bother you. You would make a great receptionist. Your personable and likable and isnt that what being a receptionist is all about? As a matter of fact, you could probably do just about any job well and you just need to do it. Setting up roadblocks for ourselfs is dangerous,,dont do it..Anyway, in regards to this discussion, I like to spend my time not working on sites like YouTube for one. I could actually spend all day there, watching videos and listening to music. People make really creative and ofte very funny videos and when I need a laugh, thats where I go. I also spend hours on cooking sites. As we all know, that is my passion and there is so much online about the subject that I could spend all day doing that too. I love to read about cooking in other cultures, especially France and I collect recipes like crazy.I also like sites like snoops.com which is a site that verifies or denys rumors that are out there and stories that we read or hear about..I like useless facts.com which is just that, useless facts, but interesting. I read all kinds of blogs that people write, usually about animals and raising animals and of course cooking and I like silly things like Jolenes,Trailorpark.com You've got to check that one out..Its really funny. This trailor trash woman gives lessons on life and cooking..Its really a guy, I'm sure and full of silly laughs. I like to go to gaming sites and play Backgammon on line with others everyday. I especially like to get involved in tournaments as I am a pretty good player. I could go on and on, but you get the jist. People sometimes say to me, "What do you do on their all say"? and I answer with, "What I don't do online would take less time to explain..!!

Thank you for your words of encouragement, they mean a lot to me, and I'm not just saying that. My confidence is low, that's all. I just need one positive thing to happen and that's me, back up the ladder so to speak. I know what you mean about not having enough hours in the day to cover all the sites you want to visit. Due to my over-active imagination I could be online all day if I let myself. I much prefer being on my computer than watching television although I do like to do this at Mum's as I have no computer there now...it's here lol. My husband has often asked me how I manage to be online for hours on end. I don't know what it is, I just FIND stuff that I like and Similar Web is brilliant for the rare times I get bored and up it pops with similar sites to the one I'm browsing. Perfect! Backgammon eh? Good for you! I have no idea how to play that game. The one game I am addicted to is Restaurant Rush, I love it. On Facebook (which I don't use anymore) is a game called Bejeweled Blitz and I was definitely addicted to that..dangerously so. My Dad has paid for Mum and me to go to Wembley in a few days so at least I have something to look forward to my friend.

I am so pleased your doggie is finally getting better. We get so attached to our pets don't we? They are always there for us so whenever something bad happens to them it affects us as they can't tell us what's wrong. My thoughts are with you both at this stressful time but I am glad things are improving. Good things happen to good people (and animals) and you two are the best.

Sounds like a good website...think I'll check it out one of these days. For me, besides the lot, besides blog reading, surfing and etc, I like to watch videos on the tube. I like those Extreme makeover edition, always a cool thing to watch, even though there are snippets only.

I think I did catch that episode.. the one where she helped lots of people in her community. She's a lady with a big heart, for sure. Yes, these shows are really inspiring, aren't they..

I saw an Extreme Makeover from the US on digital TV a few weeks ago. It was awesome. There was a black lady who put many people before herself and the community thought she should be rewarded...with a new house lol. It was excellent, I wish someone would do that for me!

I am the same as you but hubby is obsessed with Sky News on the telly so that is often on in the background whilst I'm online. It's quite good listening to that and surfing at the same time, I don't mind it at all. Glad you have Yahoo news where you are too. It's great isn't it?

Hi Jane, I love searching on crochet sites. i want to check on new trends of crochet designs. i enjoyed watching and studying on the patterns and designs and challenged myself to do it or make some ehancement of the existing designs. i too love viewing the sites about birthstones and fashion.

Hiya Winky! It doesn't surprise me that you want to challenge yourself with your crocheting. From what I have seen of your photos you are BRILLIANT at it! Therefore the sites you go on really are challenging you which is an excellent use of the internet my friend. I, too, am "into" birthstones but not as much as I used to be. I once had a bracelet that had stones representing all the planetary aspects of my birthsign, Aries. It was awesome but, unfortunately I broke it and cannot for the life of me remember the site it was from.

I actually enjoy going by Yuwie. They pay you to use the site and I've actually met some cool people on there. They also have a radio station which always plays good tunes.

I did join Yuwie once so I know what you are talking about. However, my computer used to slow down whenever I was on the site so I don't use it anymore. Glad you like it though. Last.fm is good for finding music (especially from the past) on.

Its Orkut! Its the first social-networking site, I came to know. If I was online, definitely I will be logged in orkut. Though many people saying FaceBook is the best, I am not active in that. (Dont know the reason too). I like to browse in orkut. Also, I like to browse in fluther.com,answerbag.com,yahoo answers. I like to read the strange questions and perception of the people answering it.

I have heard a lot of good things about Orkut so it comes as no surprise to me that you favour that instead of Facebook...and it's great that you're not pandering to the hype. I used to have a Facebook account but found it boring to be quite honest! I know what you mean about the strange questions and answers on Yahoo, I've seen a few in my time!

Good for you! I've only got a couple of games that I play on my computer as I don't want it cluttered with too many downloads because of its age. Anyway, if you ever get the chance to play "Restaurant Rush" do so because it's ace!

I also like to visit Wikipedia..I do some reading and research on some things that catch my interest like biology and physics.. Sometimes I also visit Bloomberg to check on the latest news about the world of business..

I visit Engadget for all the latest tech news and rumors and whatnot. Then I usually go to Amazon and search for random things that I don't need when I'm bored. Lastly, I will visit makeuseof.com when I need a freeware program or just some cool sites to check out.

Wait, why are you sad? Yes, especially when you know the amount of money you would possibly be saving by buying online instead of a retail store. I add all these things to my cart and then I move them out of my cart and now I have 12 or so pages of some 300 items that I wanted to buy at one point or another!

I spend a lot of time on my local public library site. They offer down-loadable ebooks for card members and I can also reserve and wish list books I'd like to pick up on my next visit. I also enjoy going to netflix and watching their instant tv stuff. Beats having to go out and rent all those movies, especially for tv shows that have like 5-6 discs and each has to be rented separately. Then there's moola.com and iwon.com ... I go for the games. Hours of entertainment for those who like mind stimulating game play.

Hello. :) Aside from Facebook and Mylot, I stay on Twitter and stalk my celebrity crushes LOL. I also love watching videos on YouTube every time I am bored. I also visit Movie-Links to see what new films are already out for online streaming. I also update my own blogs, such as my Blogger blog and my Tumblr blog. I just love writing down my thoughts because I love reading them again after a long time. Haha, I'm just nostalgic like that. I also like Socialvibe, it is a fun social networking site that centers around helping your favorite causes. You do activities for points that are equivalent to a particular benefit for the cause. I support WWF there and for every 100 points I make, I get to protect one polar bear.

That's very kind of you to do such a thing, well done to you! I have a few animal welfare sites I go on too inlcuding Compassion in World Farming (I send emails all the time on their behalf), WSPA, WWF, Animal Aid, the RSPCA and CAPS. I like being informed of what's going on in the world and I like Greenpeace as well.

I have never heard of Socialvibe my friend. I love the fact you can help animals by using it. I may check it out myself sometime, thank you. I used to have standing orders for the WWF and similar organisations but I had to stop them when I became unemployed. It feels good to help others doesn't it and it's admirable that you can help to save awesome animals like the polar bear. Good for you!

lets see The Alpha Gate, Heliopolis and Yidio for the most part. The first two are fan fiction sites and I like to go in and read through their SG1 fan-fic. The last one allows me to watch television which I normally wouldn't get to as I don't have Cable, so I can watch SGU and Eureka to my heart's content. Out of curiosity why did you include Facebook in your OP as an excluded site to list?

Well, a lot of people use Facebook and MyLot so I was just wondering what other sites people used in order to see if they were addicted to the former. If I'm being honest, I am not a big fan of Facebook for various reasons and I am glad I cancelled my account with them. I am not suggesting for one moment that others should follow suit but I just don't like using the site now...and I don't miss it either. I really can't be bothered telling people on there what I am up to. If they are so desperate to know they have our telephone number lol.
