I think my insomnia is getting worse each night. Last night I had a hard time sleeping. I was only able to sleep around 4 in the morning and I always woke up every couple of minutes cause I was too worried that I might not be able to wake up in time for my work. I really need a solution to my sleeping problem. Can anyone please help me or suggest something to help me sleep at night.

You are just stressed out that is why you really need to relax and calm yourself so that you can have a good sleep. I am just wondering if your working in a call center, because if not, then I don't know what causes you to hinder your sleep just because you are worrying if ever you can't make it up on proper time. I can suggest good ways for you to sleep, but you need to answer some of my questions also. Do you have difficulties of pooping? if yes, then do you poop regularly? If the answer to both questions are no, then I guess you need more fiber like fruits and veggies and water intake to your body. Restless sleeping causes anxiety and advance ageing which will never be good to your skin. I suggest you take Tiens Green Petals tea and Tiens Zinc to help you have a good sleep.

Hello Strawberry, I am not working at a call center. I am actually home based but I still need to go online every 9 in the morning. I have no problems in the bathroom and I eat lots of veggies and drink a lot of water. My mind is usually very active at night and that is probably one reason why I can't sleep at night. My active mind makes it hard for me to sleep.

Hi Andyvil, nice to know you live a healthy lifestyle. An active mind tells you that your thinking a lot of things probably a result of your daily work online or if not, maybe something else. But anyway, I already given a solution for you to get that good sleep.. Happy Mylotting.

Well the best solution for that is to consult your doctor. I think there is something in your bedtime habits that prevent you from sleeping properly. Or there is a problem that troubles your mind that is why you are having this difficulty in your sleeping. It is important to identify this so that your doctor could give you the right medication perhaps or might give you advices that is preventing you to get a good night sleep.

Oh well I guess being brokenhearted will certainly create that kind of a problem for you. Well I think there should be some kind of diversion of your attention away from that. I hope you can can over it in time because I think that is the only problem that causes your insomnia.

Actually there is something that is constantly bothering my mind. Every time I go to bed and everything is quiet I think about my ex. I still miss her and all but theres nothing more I can do with that. Probably its the memories of her that is keeping me awake. I'll try and shove aside my thought of her tonight, maybe that will work.

hi andyvil I have had insomnia off and on too but since I have been taking Benadryl for my allergy to dust mites and dust I have at least got about five or six hours sleep. Also I listen to music before I go to bed and its Mozarts really gorgeous music that relaxes me and makes me feel drowsy.also clear your mind and put your troubles in a old sack and toss them in the garbage in your mind of course. I am a female and have dry skin so slather on skin lotion containing lavender which is a relaxing scent for making one sleepy. Also that glass of milk at bedtime will really aid in inducing sleep. hope some of these help a bit. My doctor does not believe in sleeping pills as he say they are habit forming so he did suggest Benadryl which I take nightly.

Hello Hatley. I used to listen to music before going to sleep. As of now I usually turn the tv on and leave it in Natgeo or Discovery Channel. This used to put me to sleep but lately it isn't working. I think it also has to do with the weather here right now. Our weather here is just so hot and humid that it is really hard to get a good nights sleep. I'll try listening to some classic music when I go to bed tonight. I really hope it works. Thanks for the advice hatley.

I must say sleeping troubles are generally caused by stress of any type and bad habits in the evening. First you should not serve any drink that may influence your sleep, such as coffee or tea. Insomnia may also be a consequence of not following the time you need to go to sleep. When you feel you are sleepy, go to sleep at that time and try to keep the same time every night.I also suggest you to have at least an hour of relaxation before going to sleep and choose the activities you feel work the best for you. Do not eat before going to sleep. Leave at least three hour between. I hope these will be of help. There are also other means to fight insomnia such as eating calming food at supper (milk and honey, onion, etc.)

I haven't tried having an insomnia but I have friends who have that kind of problems too. They usually drink milk to have a good night sleep somehow and when they need to wake up in a specific time that they alarm their clocks for them not to panic in being late. and in sleeping better not think of anything else but to sleep because if you don't you'll definitely just be stressed and worried.

lack of sleep is very excruciating and not good for health. maybe you can try some of my experiences to overcome difficulty sleeping on my husband. maybe you can try. before bed is better you do not eat too full, so you do not sleep in a state of the stomach is full, then reduce the activity of mental confiscated after 20:30 o'clock. or you can hot bath an hour before sleep. , or you can also drink warm water before bed.

Hi Andyvil, Not being able to sleep through the night is not a good thing. Someone else suggested it and I will as well, buy some herbal Chamomile tea and drink a couple of cups maybe an hour before your bedtime. It will relax you to the point of going to sleep. Wear very loose clothing in bed, the looser the better. Once you are in bed try counting backwards from 500, this will stimulate the part of the brain they say that induces sleep. Meditation during the day can help to relax the deep part of your brain which you may not even realise is stresssed. Start to practice it to give yourself a reserve to deal with your daily routine and help relax you at night to get to sleep. Invest in a good alarm clock so as not to worry about oversleeping, this could keep you from sleeping well in itself. Good luck and take care.

Hi Andyvil Before responding to this I read most of the responses by others to get to know the problem better. I think what you need is to calm your mind so try meditating or even visualisation and you will drift to a good sleep. If you try taking anything external like medicines etc you will get addicted or used to them and after some time will not be able to sleep without them.

Get an alarm clock that you can trust or tell somebody in your house to wake you up in the morning. I think this is one of the reasons why could not sleep well. You're worried about your morning activities. You also need to have a specific sleeping time at night for your body to get use to it. If your sleeping problem worsens, then you should consult your doctors and he'll prescribe a medicine/sleeping pill that's right for you. Do not self medicate. Sleeping pills have side effects that we are not aware of.

Maybe you can try sleeping with the TV on. When I can't fall asleep and end up just staring at the darkness, sounds from a TV helps me sleep sometimes when I set my TV on a low volume and on sleep on 30 minutes. I would fall asleep listening to the sound of the TV and it would turn off by itself in 30 minutes. I guess it's because it could feel really lonely and sad at night when it's all quiet and some sounds might me more comfortable. Hope you are able to sleep soon.

i dont have insomia, but there are times were i can not really sleep. even i drink milk (as what they say can help), even if i took a bath still i find it hard to sleep. so my wife suggested to take a whole body massage and i can say that it helps. massages can loosen up tight muscles and it relaxes your body. this is the only thing i can think of to suggest for you. hope it helps

Just do what the experts say. Eat healthy and exercise. I never have sleeping problems but like you i felt pressured if i can't sleep early and would just end up waking every couple of minutes afraid that i might get late at work. So eat healthy and tire yourself physically and go to bed as soon as you feel sleepy.

See a doctor, this is the best way to help you out on your insomnia. I remember when I don't go to work I had slight insomnia cause I only felt that few times. But now that I am working I can't help but sleep a little early cause I feel so sleepy now. I dont know if that sleeping pills really help.

I used to have a sleeping promblem when i was in high school because of pressure.I was really worried about it at first, which make it harder to sleep.I tried almost every methods to get over it,milk, jogging in the morning, not laugh at night ,no mobile phone before sleep....But unfortunately, none of them worked. At last i tried to accept it,that is,every time i cant fall asleep ,i will think like this,"you dont want me to sleep, fine!not sleep, its fine,it wont affect me at all!!less sleep it not a big deal,i an strong enough to deal with that."And to my surprise things are getting better.I can have a better sleep,Ang if i can sleep well,it wont affect my life. so if you cant have a good sleep ,just let it go ,its not a big deal, many succeesful people sleep very little, but they have a good life.Once you dont think much of it ,its getting better

HI Andyvil; Why don't you get a alarm clock to wake you up for your work? That's useful for you and you need to sleep well then you can work well. And if you drink some warm milk and don't eat anything one hour before you got to bed maybe also useful for sleeping.:) Have a good night.
