What is you most terrifying experience when you were a child? For me, it as a flying cockroach that chased me down the hallway..Not only that, i jumped a flight of stairs (around 6-7 steps)..oh, by the way, this happened when i was like 5-7 years of age. I think i was 5 years old then. Good thing my mother, who was in the kitchen/dining area with my relatives, heard me running towards the hallway. It was made of good lumber i think, so my steps where hard. Then When i arrived at the stairs, i jumped. Fortunately, my mother was there to catch me. If not, i might have broken a few bones. Our first floor was made of marble so you can imagine how hard that can be. Imaging, a 5 year old, jumping 6 steps and landing on a marble surface. Thankfully, i did not get hurt that time.. But flying cockroaches still gives me the creeps. How about you, what was your most terrifying or most memorable experience when you where still young?

I had to walk in the complete darkness for more than 10 minutes and I was in search of my mother when I was three years old, she was at home itself and I could not find her so I got outside the back of our house and then the power went off, I was really terrified and when I called my mom she was giving me a call too but I could not know where I am and where I should go so as from that day I am still afraid of darkness and I can stand out everything but not darkness.

yeah, most if not all of us are afraid of the dark. It's because we can't see and know what is happening there in front of us. Or whatever things may lurk in the dark. Yes, i do feel that way too. So, i always bring a flashlight or my cellphone with me, at least, i can see something.

Hey I remember my grandpa gave me a lighter like this one you are talking about, I will have it in my phone now or wherever I go. Its a safety and a good thing to carry too.

good thing for you. But i cannot bring things like those especially when going on a trip or vacation. One time, when i was with my college friends and spent the night somewhere, there were cockroaches everywhere. Good thing they weren't flying, so we could just step on them.

Hiya aylim, That must have been a really horrible experience for you. I really have not had many terrifying things like that happen to me. I used to sit on the stairs when I was just turned one years old and count the cockroaches that were going up the Stairs but I had no fear of them. We lived in a very old House then and it was over run with them at the time. Perhaps the worst time I used to have was turning on the light in a Room first thing in the morning and all the cockroaches would run and try to hide made me shudder I can tell you. Much later they were able to rid the House of those horrible insects and there has not been any more since then. I donĀ“t like Dragonflies either they frighten me a bit so I stay clear of any River in the evening or at night.
