Yes, it true, here in mylot. Suppose new people just signed up and trying to share their great feelings with us, No people is responding.. But, When experienced mylotter asks "which curry u like most?" decades of people are responding.. WHY?WHY? Moreover, atleast some good discussions having responses. Thanks to mylotters..

Hi manozzkumar! I believe people here in mylot chooses discussion which they could easily reply or give responses to. Though we keep on telling that we response to give our opinion and in someway help, it is still the objective to have as many responses as you can and earn. This is practically the reason why some silly discussion (which sometimes could be answered with yes or no) get the most responses. Because it is very easy to respond to it and will take only a lesser time. Have a nice day!

tholitz you do not eaRn one red cent for the responses you get as the people who responded did that postings so they get paid, you get paid, and well when you comment on all the responses your discussion got, and I do not mean thanks but at least three lines telling the person how you felt about each response, you can agree or disagree with courtesy of course, but if you disagree say so and why, no harm to do that and it will be paid well.

i found this when i first started on my lot. I've been here just over a week now and i'm starting to realise that really it's not what the discussion is about as much as the tag line. I think most people chose Mylott cause they get a little reward and so you would think conversations that actually asked people to give more than a one line answer would be the most popular. but No, the most popular seem to be insanely simple starting conversations with obvious answers just so they get a response. it's a sad state of affairs. I'm with you. Perhaps we should have a report this question for obviousness button on the pages?

I am new to mylot but i suppose like all new members you have to earn a reputation as a good writer before you get lots of responses. I think that this is a good way to get known that you are serious about the site.

I hear your concerns, I am so hesitant to post a new discussion because I don't know if anyone is going to respond. I thought that I have responded with quality posts and no one ever seems to respond back to me. I feel I am very articulate and would love to share my views and opinions on others discussions.... maybe I'm just not hitting the right topic? I can state a detailed opinion about almost anything, even silly ones:) I like your topic though, thank you!

From time to time I do remember to visit the "not yet commented on" discussions. You're right - often the silly discussions get more responses than serious ones. I think sometimes it could be because people come here to relax and don't want to have deep discussions, they'd rather keep it light! I could be wrong though.

On mylot you can not get away with asking things like what curry do you like or what of anything do you like as that is not a discussion at all as all you can answer is a flavour even if you have been on here 3 days or 3 years. Those types of discussions are removed as in deleted normally as they are a question that requires a one word answer.I respond to alot of new members discussions on here the same as i would anyone elses discussions.

manozzkumar did you ever r ealize the new kid on the block has to get noticed a lot before everyone lets him in to their group? Same way here with new mylotters,as they need to respond a lot to us older users so we see your name and then we will say this person is a really good responder,I am going to find his or her discussions and respond to them. and thats how I and other users who were all new once got to having people really respond and even when it was not a really great discussion. its called making friends and friends help each other. So the curry person made a lot of friends, and the friends responded to her aS she had to them, stands to reason as people will be people anywhere and the same is true here on mylot too.

But, all people here are of same kind like u. probably, 90% are just roughly reading title and skipping as those good discussions are useless for their profits. What do u say about those people..

I like u & i want u to be one of my few friends.. Thanks for supporting me.. You know here in Mylot, free people are more and they like to respond only to those silly discussions. Sorry, u have to start silly discussion to have more responses.. To have more responses, have to make friendship with more people, even though u dont know their mindset. Starting discussions like "My car's tire punctured.. ", "I take breakfasts early in morning.." etc.., like sily's u may find more responses..

LoL! Thanks manozzkumar, I received and accepted your request. I don't mind responding to any type of discussion, and there are lots of types of discussions here in the very versitile myLot! I prefer a more in depth topic, one that could perhaps continue on for pages. With so many opinions and view points. But that is me, and perhaps a little you too...yes? I think that alot of mylotters want the same. On the other hand, coming up with meaningful and lasting discussions is tough. I'm sure some of the 'silly' discussions are just a way of loosening up the creative flow. I've noticed that just by expanding my number of interests, I already have access to a bunch of different people and types of discussions! I'm sorry to hear that you feel you can only get responses by starting 'silly' discussions. Can't wait to look in on some of your previous discussions. Thank you Friend:)

Hey, thanks for ur great attention. I have felt that no people will respond to this discussion also. But, u have responded.. Thanks.. Iam not worrying about my discussion responses. Iam worrying about new user's new and intrersting discussions which have no responses. My message is to just encourage them.

It depends on interesting the discussion is, and that is why some that seem silly, aren't to those that respond. It is hard to think of a good topic of interest at times, and that is why I haven't started all that many. I don't start them everyday nor I do them once a week. Only when I can think of a good topic that I hope is interesting enough to get responses. I am fortunate though, that all my discussions have received responses. The last discussion I posted just this last Sunday, has now recieved 41 responses, which is my best discussion yet, and I hope it gets more responses. good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Your observation is absolutely correct! People here are not interested in news, current affairs, science and technology, or anything else that requires a little brain power. But, if your cat has just vomited, you have a top discussion. That's life! What a weird lot we are.
