Hope never leaves us disappointed.

It seems there are times in our life that the clouds get together to hide the sunshine; but we still know it's out there keeping us warm despite the clouds. Life throws us many things and the tough stuff can make us wonder how we will make it through ..yet we do.. Hope keeps us hanging on and trusting that good will overcome evil. .. that a rainbow follows the storm... and that no one can still our peace inside unless we let them.. Are you ever tempted to say it's hopeless.? How do you pull yourself back into focus and begin trusting and hoping?

I learn from my mom positive attitude where she always tells us :" If you are unhappy, the time still pass by. If you are happy, the time still pass by.... well... stay happy.

Your mom taught you right. It's true things will pass. I know for a long time I let things weigh on my mind. Then, in an instant, while thinking about life, priorities and what's really important; I realized these painful things that happen in an instant or over time; only have control over our lives in as much as we give them permission too. If a worry comes to mind; we can choose to entertain this thought or to close the door on it.. We are not obliged to let anything intrude on our peace..we are not doing ourselves any favors by allowing bad thoughts, painful memories, or hurts perceived or real to dominate our toughts or lives. Attitude and discipline can change our whole life.

when life starts throwing me curve balls in some situations i think about the children in hospitals with life threatening illness's, and whatever menial thing that has me unnerved melts away, compared to what their going through, i havent got any problems that wont go away in time.

I love your answer and that are my thoughts too. There is always someone who has a heavier burden to carry; and I don't mean weight;) There are people dying daily due to wars that never end. How sad it must be for children who gro up where bombs are constantly exploding.

What i try to do is be very poitive as that way you feel alot happier.I have plans for what i want in my life and i think that by the time i get to the age to enjoy all the things i want i will be too old to enjoy them.I think that life is too short to feel low all the time.

So your plans are not for the present but for the future.. Is there anything you can enjoy now? Life is short.. perhaps you should have some today plans..tomorrow plans that will bring your happiness?

I used to have hope. But unlike you, I was disappointed. Everything I have every tried to do in life, has failed. One failure after another. No success in anything for nearly 15 years, and no reason to believe the future will be any different. Having taken stock of my life since high school, there was no sun behind the clouds, no rainbow after the storm. Every time I allowed some other person to say to me "oh it will get better", "Good things will happen, you'll see" or "God has a plan for your life" I would regain hope... only to see it shattered again is the misery of unending failure. I do not want hope anymore. I want it to end. My only 'hope' is that life will be over soon. That my time on this horrid Earth will be cut short. Hopefully (no pun intended) this is the more substantial response you requested. Be well.
