Kitty farts

All of us cat owners have suffered through those wonderful tear jerkers called cat farts. Dog farts are bad enough; but cat farts can have you in tears, gagging and gasping for air. Khuay let one rip tonight that was a total gagger! Khuay for some reason does most of his farts when he jumps up on your lap. Since he doesn't like the hiss of the room freshener, we fan the air and hold our breath until the smell dissipates. Tonight was rather cute though. Willy was sleeping on the end of the couch, and Bill had his hand resting on Willy's belly. Khuay came wandering into the room and jumped up on my lap...so far no smell. He then went to Bill's lap and P.U. man did we tear up and gag. Willy promptly woke up and glared at his brother. Khuay then wandered over towards his brother on the way to my sewing table which is under a window. On Khuay's way through Willy reared up and when Khuay's blow hole was in front of Willy, Willy gave one mighty swat and smacked Khuay right in the blow hole. Khuay was so surprised that he jumped straight up and took off for parts unknown. Bill and I got a good laugh at Willy's reaction....obviously Willy didn't appreciate the aroma of Khuay's dinner. The last time I smelled a cat fart that bad was when Murphy was laying on the back of the sofa and she let one loose. I was on the phone with a friend when this happened and all she could hear was Bill and I gagging and gasping for air. She was alarmed and shouting over the phone "What happened? Do you need help??" Murphy laid there looking innocent as a new born babe, and it took a good five minutes before Bill and I could breath again. Somehow I did manage to choke out to my friend that Murphy had farted. All my friend could do is laugh... we still laugh at that little girl's fart. I had never smelled anything that bad! Do you have the problem with kitty farts? Do they come at in opportune times?

Roxy had some kind of infection and was producing some truly horrific smells - we called them "green fogs." The roomie and I were eating dinner and trying to watch a movie, that we weren't really enjoying very much - Ratatouille - and she jumped on the desk (we were watching it on the computer) and got us in passing. OMG! We almost lost our dinners and never did finish watching the movie! She went to the vet the next day for MEDS! Now, Sassy is having all kinds of trouble, but she's... well, we're not exactly sure how old she is, but WE'VE had her 9 years and they told us she was 10 when we got her... She produces "sharts" that's a fart with ... some ... substance ... to them.... And they are nearly fluid. But so long as she's as cussed as she is, we'll keep her around - and yes, we've been to the vets REPEATEDLY for meds!

No kidding. I never even thought a cat farted. I know dogs do and yes they are bad! PU! I would imagine a cat would be worse. They are such sneaky pets they way they lurke so quietly. I can see them lurking purring and oops out it went. Now I am going to think about all those smells I couldnt figure out where they came from. Now I know. Sodi did it.(my cat) thanks for the info. Ive got to go take my inhaler. Ive laughed myself to near tears. LB you're so funny. Happy smells to all dl
